Death "Knight" Knell

Fighter profile of Death Knell by Outlaw Bleak

Death Knell was born in Madison Wisconsin, but moved to Houston Texas before finishing the 5th grade.  He was bitter for leaving as he hated the Texas heat, but as he grew older and started discovering his interest in women... especially those in bikini's on the Texas breaches, his anger subsided to make way for his hormonal drive.

As a teenager, he was a multi sport athlete.  Playing under his birth name of Derrick Knight, he made a splash on the football field and wrestling mats.  He wasn't the greatest at basketball, but when the team needed to perform a hard foul on the opposing star player, he was happy to assist.

As a football player, Knell played Outside Linebacker and Defensive End.  He was a force to be reckoned with given his frame and size.  He earned the nickname "Death Knight" taken his last name and his reign of terror on the opposing quarterbacks.  Probably had something to do with his friends playing WoW in their spare time too.
As a wrestler, Knell was always a top athlete and district champion, however never made it to state champion as he always fell a little short.  His sophomore year, he fell short losing in the quarter final match and his Junior year he was knocked out due to a football injury sustained earlier in the year.  His Senior year, he focused on football and didn't participate in wrestling.
After not getting any power 5 scholarship offers, Knell declined playing for a few smaller schools as he didn't have the funding to go where he wanted.  So he turned his attention back to wrestling where he met Outlaw Hardin and Harley Blaze at a local gym he was visiting.  They watched him work out and took note of his build, but it was watching him grapple one of the guys they had their eyes on that made them turn their attention to him.

After a brief discussion, he was invited to attend free training at the Outlaw MMA gym in New York.  With free training and a chance at a new career, Knell didn't hesitate.  He spoke with his coaches and started focusing his efforts on his striking and honing his skills as a boxer and MT practitioner where he quickly picked up some skills and impressed his coaches.  In fact, he's now been on a tear through the heavyweight divisions of multiple orgs.

He won his first 7 fights all from TKO/KO finishes, with the exception of his first professional "sparring" match where he was testing out his skills to see if he could compete.  After the org closed, he moved up to Enigma for some tougher competition.  He was in for a bit of a rude awakening as he lost his first match against Lasha Abashidze via TKO.  It was the first loss in his professional career, and the first time he'd ever lost via TKO.  He bounced back with a decision victory in his next match and recently showed off his power again with a TKO (cut) victory over Frank Kurshmann.

Now, sitting at 9-1, and only 22 years old, Death Knell looks to be working himself up the ladders at Enigma and with another win or two, could be in position to earn himself his first ever title shot.
