             DMMA 105 Bitter Rivals

"Preview"     DMMA 105 is set to premier Sunday March. 15th, Live from the H20 Arena in London. The event will be Co-Headlined with two rematches, both of which will have World Championships on the line. This Main Card has five SPICY matchups in all and with the label of Bitter Rivals there is some legit bad blood in a few of these fights. Headlined by a Heavyweight championship rubber match we will see Jason Hightower make his first Title defense against his old foe Bento Barboza, a feud that was ignited during the duo's Kickboxing journey's. Meanwhile in a Ubber talented Lightweight Championship fight, Newley crowned champ looks to settle the score against former champ Xylon Kofel , whom he edged out by an extremely close Split Decision verdict. There also a feature fight at Middleweight as the infamous butt checker Rectal Thermometer gears up to dig in deep on his next foe Gwynn Evans. Strap on your saddle cause this one is going to be a long, wild ride!                           Prelims   170 Tobias Ball vs Just Fight Scappy Do 155 Landry Stephenson vs Oscar De La Weirdo 155 Joseph Futeran vs Eddie Bravo 170 Jimmy Navarro vs Niklas Aho 155 Champ Johnson vs Corey McGraugh                              MAIN CARD                            Heavyweight bout         Xavier Washington    vs     KT Panda     I always enjoy a Main Card that kicks off with a couple powerful heavyweights, and this one promise to be a slugfest. Xavier Washington has been nothing short of spectacular, demolishing his last three opponents with vicious first round (T)KO's. His last two fights where "KOTN" Performances as he disposed of Adan Puno and Dick Dennison Respectively. A close sparring partner of fellow DMMA Heavyweight Jules Durand, Washington looks to be following right in his footsteps as he climbs the ranks in this division. Opposing him will be one of them Crazy Panda boys, known simply as KT Panda. KT is now on a two-fight win streak of his own, as he looks to emerge in the top ten at Heavyweight. Panda's last fight was a "FOTN" performance as he mounted a remarkable comeback KO with just 5 seconds left in the final round. His opponent Hector Gray look to seal up a comfortable Unanimous Decision, when from out of nowhere this Descendent of the Kung Fu Panda himself, landed a Lights out Head Kick to steal the victory.                                Welterweight Bout                 Eric Brooks         vs        Gustav Harakka     Next up on the menu is two welterweight jockeying for position in the DMMA Welterweight division. Eric Brooks had a nice start to his pro career notching 5 straight, including a win over a former two time title challenger Raminus Polus in his DMMA Debut fight. It's been a bit shaky though since then as he has jumped around with managers and some inconsistent fight results. Now coming off a win in his last fight, Brooks looks to avenge one of his three defeats and continue his run under his new management. He will have his hands full though as he meets three time Welterweight title challenger Gustav Harakka. Harakka had an impressive start to his career as well winning six straight fights, five of which were finishes. Now coming off of back to back loses, look for Gustav to bring an all-out war to his opponent. Current Welterweight champ Jaxon MaGrath may have his number but that should not outshine Gustav's Talent, at just 24 years old there is still plenty of time for this dangerous Fin to get to the top of the Mountain.                              Middleweight Bout                     Rectal Thermometer   vs     Gwynn Evans       Are next bout has potential title implications on the line as the #5 and #6 seed look to stake their claim for a future championship bout. Rectal Thermometer got back on track in electrifying fashion knocking the socks off Eric Distefano in the first round of their bout at DMMA 98. Thermometer is a one-time DMMA middleweight champion haven beat the current champ Macca Outback for the belt way back at DMMA 36. Rectal is battling some ups and downs but a win here this Sunday will bring him back to the lime light once again. Former C4 Middleweight champion Gwynn Evans can almost taste his Dynasty Title opportunity after a recent 4 fight win streak. The Welshman has bought a huge chunk of tickets for his fellow countrymen and women, so they can come see his performance at the H20 arena. He will want to refrain himself from grappling with Thermometer though, as I don't think his fans will enjoy seeing their hero get Oil Checked by Rectal Thermometer, Kinda will make the trip a little discomforting ya know. I for one am looking forward to this showdown, with the Middleweight championship fight coming up next weekend. I hope to see one of these guys put on a nice showing and sway the bookers to grant them a title fight next.                                  CO-MAIN                   Lightweight Championship bout   *Champion* Aubrey Grant vs *Challenger* Xylon Kofel       Look no further then this next fight, for the inspiration of the term Bitter Rivals. These two guys look to settle a heated war in this highly anticipated Championship rematch. Challenger and former Lightweight champion Xylon Kofel was livid after hearing the judges' scorecards last month at DMMA 99. Kofel looked to follow in his Camp mate Jaxon MaGrath's footsteps, notching 3 successful title defenses, until he was unseeded by his upcoming foe. Xylon at one time was on a spectacular 7 fight win streak over a who's who in the Welterweight division. One of those wins was against none other than the man who beat him for the belt and upcoming opponent for this DMMA 105 co headliner Aubrey Grant. He managed to dominate the current champ at DMMA 41 ending his night with a late TKO finish in the final round. Kofel's Legacy is far from being cemented but his upcoming rubber match with Grant is going to be a big part of it for sure. The Champion Aubrey Grant has a true rag to riches story playing out as he has now settled into a six fight win streak in his career. It wasn't always successful though as he started two and three in his career. Grant seemed to turn the corner in his career after his loss to Kofel though, and has not loss since then. Aubrey now looks to silence his rival once and for all and keep his Championship run going. With this series all tide up 1-1, and the last fight being so close, don't blink for a second. This one will be non-stop action and the managers could very well be fighting outside the cage as well, Geesh I hope so.                               MAIN EVENT                       Heavyweight Championship   *Champion* Jason Hightower vs  *Challenger* Bento Barboza     The Heavyweight Title has been on an ongoing carousel as of late, could we see it going back to former champ Bento Barboza, or will newly crowned champ Jason Hightower close out his first Title defense with a W. Bento looks to become the first two-time DMMA Heavyweight Champ in the org's history. The 25-year-old native of Portugal got back to his winning ways in his last outing forcing a doctor's stoppage in his bout with rising prospect Pete Tyler. Now holding a combined record of 19-4 between MMA and Kickboxing and snagging 8 of the night awards along the wat, Barboza looks to break history. Bento lost his belt to Andrei Kersikov at DMMA 90 by getting finished at the 3:22 mark of round one. Wining that bout against an up and comer like Pete Tyler in his very next fight was very uplifting for "Anjo da Morte" though as he earned himself a shot against his longtime rival and New Heavyweight champion Jason Hightower. Former El Paso Officer and Kickboxer Jason Hightower has now notched another championship to his belt cabinet. Hightower now looks to make his first Title defense of his career though. and with a record of 20-2 combined between boxing and Kickboxing, Jason is headed for greatness. Hightower is also no stranger to performance bonuses with 5 thus far, so expect this rubber match to be an awesome conclusion to this Record-breaking event. There first fight went to round 3 with Hightower Capitalizing on his wobbly foe with a one punch KO. The second fight went to round 4 as Bento Evened the score with a one punch KO of his own. Will this fight make it to round 5? or will it end sooner? We will have to wait and see.     Ladies and gents this may very well be the biggest DMMA event of the year if not ever. So come on down to the H20 Arena this Sunday, you'll be glad you did! This has been "Dynamite" Douch McBaggins igniting your MMA spirits, Until next time.
