Well, it came, and it went.  The fight did not go as Darsin had hoped, but it went as expected.  The micro midget speedster known as Gracie was too fast and small to handle for the 155 champion.  But everyone has to lose eventually and that was Darsin’s time.  But now, he’s on to focus on defending his lightweight belt against the next man up, Zee Land.

We had a chance to sit down and have a talk to Darsin about his recent loss and he wasn’t much for words.  We did notice that he changed his look, cut his hair, and seems to have taken on a whole new persona.  A persona that is befitting of his nickname, the Sandman.  One clear answer we were able to get out of him was about his hair.  His hair has been iconic, something that he’s had from before his MMA days and that he cut most of it off just blew us away.  Apparently, his opponent Gracie had used a handful of hair to gain leverage and advance position a few times in their fight.  When I went back and watch the fight again, it was true.  Gracie was sneaky fast, but I saw in two different spots of the fight where he had gained a quick advantage by grabbing a handful of hair.  It’s not an illegal move, so no foul, but Bleak was not going to allow that to happen again.

So he has a new look and a new attitude as he looks to the future.  Take no prisoners, show no mercy, strike hard, strike fast, and be standing last.  Bleak’s out for blood, and I would not want to be in Zee Land’s corner for this upcoming fight.
