 Iron Fist Championship began in March this year, before changing hands and rebranding itself as Iron Fist. As a stalwart of MMA in St Petersburg, Iron Fist moved quickly to become the number one fight organisation in Russia.
Led by Damian White, he quickly enacted his vision of a global fight organisation by holding cards on a number of different continents. Hosting a Featherweight, Lightweight, Middleweight, Light-Heavyweight and Heavyweight division, the full roster now includes 71 fighters, mostly developmental, gaining experience as they begin their journey in the fight game.
Recruitment is handled by Sathya Saravana who has made a newcomers very much his target as he begins to ably assist Iron Fist in their vision. Rankings are devised by Wayne Kerr of Seventh Circle Clothing, who has developed a unique algorithm based upon a fighters most recent form. It is a relatively new team, determined to change the face of MMA in St Petersburg.
Their young roster includes the likes of Gervonta Davis, a 6-0-0 Lightweight, Lightweight Champion Aahad Moustaffa, who currently stands at 4-0-0, and Tykas Slasher, who has a Featherweight Title fight with Ringer Zinc in the coming weeks.
Iron Fist Championship is a unique company, with a management structure focused on development in growth. They recently took a huge step into the public eye when they unexpectedly acquired the rights to The Ultimate Fighter in a decision that may well launch the company into the stratosphere.
