Heartless FC held a private conference between President Rush Grayson and management representatives of contracted fighters with the topic focusing on a big announcement for the future of the organization.
“I wanted to gather everyone here today to personally explain my short term plans for them to lay out to the fighters immediately afterwards. I wanted this to be the metaphorical dinner bell for the warriors I employ.” -Rush
And the bell rang in the form of a new bout format, scoring system, and title implications for the roster. Named:
The Canadian Deathmatch
While MMA title fights and main events had adopted the standard of 5 rounds of 5 minutes with 10 point must scoring, Canadian Deathmatches will be unique in that they will feature 5 rounds of 10 minutes and scoring of the fight as a whole. Grayson went on to explain,
“The point of the Deathmatch is to never leave big decisions in the hands of the judges unless absolutely necessary. We don’t want fighters doing just enough to win, especially not when it’s most important to have a decisive champion. I want Heartless FC to have the toughest motherf—-ers of 385k and beyond, and potentially of all MMA Tycoon.”
Currently Heartless FC has 5 Deathmatches scheduled for the month of July, including one non-title main event between boastful newcomer ‘Darren Elkins’(386402) and seasoned veteran Lester Neich(365384). Grayson commented on the origin of that particular fight.
“That fight was born entirely on Buzz, amazingly. Darren picked up a few victories and started getting into it with some more experienced guys and then Lester actually left his previous org and his manager contacted me with the request. We have him on a 1 fight deal, currently, and they’ve agreed to settle it in the cage. The Canadian Deathmatch is perfect for situations like this!”
HFC 19: Neich vs Elkins is booked for July 23rd at 6:00pm EST.
