 RISE 96 OFFICIAL PREVIEW

9/4 MAIN CARD

Elijah ANDERSON (3-0) vs Dexter “Gentleman” ROUSSEL (3-2)

In the opening bout of our main card, we will give you some action in the Light heavyweight division.
When the unproven, undefeated prospect faces against a nice French Gentleman.

Elijah Anderson is currently undefeated and is riding a 3-fight finishing streak, but we have to keep something in mind, even though he has finished all of his opponents via KO, he still hasn’t fought in any org at all, and all of his fights were in the QFC whereas you can guess the opposition is not top tier, so he will face his first real test in Roussel.

Dexter had a bit of a rough path In our organization considering that before coming here he was in the same place as Anderson with him riding a 3-0 record, but then he dropped 2 to Robert Brown via Unanimous decision and in his latest outing he got TKO’ed late in the third round by Haruki Joshnson, but he is looking to get back into the winning form once again.

To be honest that’s basically a pick’em fight considering that both fighters are nearly equal in all of the departments. Roussel has a slight advantage on his side, having in the back of our heads that this is going to be the first big fight for Anderson I think that he might crumble under pressure.

My official prediction: Roussel via 2nd Round KO

Shozo “Showtime” Amisaki (4-3) vs Darius THIBODEAUX (3-3)

In our next bout we'll be staying in the light heavyweight division.

Amisaki been having a bit of a rough time in our org lately considering he lost 2 of his last bouts and both via 1st round stoppage and I truly believe that we might see the same in this one considering the opponent that will be standing in front of him.

Darius Thibodeaux had a rough start into his career going 0-2 but he managed to break it with a 1st round KO of Kevin Waters back at RISE 22, after that he dropped a decision to Ward Shaver and was 1-3 but then he managed to get 2 KO’s that bounced him into the 3-3 record and 3-2 with the promotion.

I truly believe that Darius will just knockout Amisaki in the first, he has advantage in every aspect and there’s no way that Amisaki will win this one and there’s truly nothing more to add with this one.

My official prediction: Thibodeaux via 1st round KO

Jair “Bright” Brown (3-1-0) vs Tarrell Newsome (5-2-1)

Now we are moving down to lightweight division with a bout between 2 fighters that are truly on great runs with our promotion.

Jair Brown is currently riding a 3-fight win streak in our promotion with his latest outing being a decision win against a former title contender in Richard Mesquita, this fight may have title  implications considering that both fighters will be on a roll and a lot of momentum behind them when they get a W in this bout.

Against Brown will be standing Tarrell Newsome, who has been with the promotion since RISE 13 where he scored a 20 second KO vs Ricky Cain and is currently riding a 2-fight winning streak of his own with both of them being awarded the performance of the night award, his latest win being a UD win against Pacome Thibodeaux.

Tarrell is 5-1 with the promotion with his only loss coming by the way of KO by the hands of the current title contender at 170, the undefeated sitting at 5-0 Tagnarach Kamara so not a bad loss when you look back at it.

This bout is pretty even on paper with Brown having some advantage in some departments, but with that being said it’s nothing that significant so we might see a good scrap.

To be honest it will be really hard to tell which one of these fighters will get away with the W so I might just say that this will be a fight of the night going the full distance.

My official prediction: Jair Brown via split decision

THE CO-MAIN EVENT
Joaquin Osuna (3-0) vs Thomas “TANK” Rose (3-0)

We are giving you some good action in the heavyweight division right before our main event with 2 fearsome KO artists that are almost equal to each other, and we guarantee you that you do not want to miss this one at all, we hope that you will be glued to your seats for this one because it will definitely be worth it.

On the one hand we have the Mexican Joaquin Osuna that is 1-0 with the promotion with his win coming by the way of TKO against Marcel Tower late in the first round where he showed his dominance in clinch outclassing Tower with it and getting his 3rd win by stoppage in his career, so you can expect that he will look for the number 4 on his resume, but the same could be said about his opponent.

Thomas Rose is just like his opponent 3-0 with all of his wins coming by the way of stoppage. He is currently 2-0 with the promotion with wins over Rade Franjic, the now champion, and his latest win that earned him the fight of the night award against Ludwig Boltzmann where he had to overcome some adversities because of a cut that Ludwig gifted to him. It seemed to bother Rose through this bout but he showed tremendous heart and overcame.  What else is there to say about this one?
Both fighters are extremely equal to each other and on paper they are identical, but as we said Rose faced some adversities in his last fight and he knows how to overcome them, and we don’t know how his opponent would react to things like that.

I might give a slight advantage for the “TANK” in this one considering that it seems like he has a better chin than his opponent and knows how to overcome adversities in a fight so far.

My official Prediction: VIOLENCE

THE MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING

FOR THE MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

THE CHAMPION Kane “THE BOSS” THOUPOOOOOOOS (7-1)

vs

THE CHALLENGER Nikolai KAAASPEEERSKYYYYY (6-1)

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, we are ending with a BANG!

A fight for the title in the 185 division.

The reigning, defending champ Kane Thoupos is looking to defend his belt for the 3rd time and extend his winning streak to 8 right now.  Oh, and did we mention that all of his wins ended by a KO/TKO? We can guarantee you that “The Boss” will be looking for another finish to add to his highlight reel.

In front of him will be standing a tough as nails Russian Wrestler in Nikolai Kaspersky, who is on a hot streak on his own right now with a 6-fight win streak of oppressing his opponents that will try to spoil the reign of the dominant Estonian.

You can see both fighters lost in their debut bouts, but Kaspersky’s had a much tougher pill to swallow considering that he got knocked out in just 5 seconds by a head kick. He's managed to get himself back together since then and is on a tear looking incredible.
This is your typical striker vs grappler match-up you might say, where Thoupos will try to keep it standing as much as he can and apply pressure with his strikes, while Kaspersky will try to drag his opponent to the ground and impose his will.

We don’t know how the takedown defense and ground game of Thoupos looks. His camp says he's prepared for anything Kaspersky has for him, but we will so how it holds up against such a grappler like Kaspersky.
We have to keep one thing in mind in this bout, the Muay Thai advantage that Kane possesses is absolutely MAAAASSIVE and we know that he likes to clinch up with his opponents and dominate them from there, just as he showed in his last bout against Leonardo Esposito where he knocked him out early in the second round.
Even though we don’t know how good is Thoupos Takedown Defense against such a grappler like Kaspersky, he might show us that he is ready for these kind of challenges in front of him and he has been preparing for it for quite some time considering that Kaspersky has been on a roll.
I do think that we will see a hell of a fight, but I feel like at the end of this bout we will hear

AND STILL!

My official Prediction: Thoupos via 5th round KO
