It is with sad news, the team at House of 1000 Corpses bid farewell to one of team manager Crazy Horse's first Free Agent pickups since returning to the game, Tommy Weismuller.
The B-Town Bogan spent his time under the Crazy Horse banner as a perennial underdog - matched up against fighters at Syn who on paper had all the advantages in the world. His first two fights saw him as massive 4 to 1 and 3 to 1 betting underdogs, but he strived through and won both before stumbling against the pitter patter barage of Dempsey ONeill. His career at Syn would then see some ups and downs before capping it off with a KO victory in his final contracted fight. A renewal was offered, but with this departure in his mind, Tommy shelved all contract talks.
The exceptionally popular Weismuller was frequently spotted at local MMA shows and was always lauded for his positive personality along with his dynamite hands. Together, the team and Weismuller were able to take his boxing and particularly muay thai skills to the next level but now is the time both parties have mutually agreed to depart from each other.
Tommy brings fast hands of dynamite with some excellent clinch capability and solid defensive grappling skills who shows no signs of slowing down yet. He is currently on the free agent market testing the waters and seeing if there is another camp and opportunity out there that suits him. If not, he is also content at calling time on his career.
We wish him well!
