Karim "Carnage" Johnson (31-7 MMA) just destroyed challenger and fellow YABAI fighter Bento Barboza (12-5 MMA, 13-2 KT) to recapture the GAMMA super heavyweight title. This victory makes Karim Johnson the #2 Heavyweight fighter in the game and closing in on top 5 in the world.
3:16 into the first round Karim seperated Bento's equalibrium with a massive punch to re-capture the GAMMA belt in front of the London crowd. The knockout punch earned the fighter better known as KJ his 15th Knockout of the Night award and the 26th knockout of his career.
There were rumors circulating the MMA news feeds that Karim's management team recently contacted Kilo's management team, and a potential trilogy was discussed between the two heavyweight sluggers. It's no secret that Kilo's on the back nine of his career and his time in the cage is winding down, thus many fans were expecting Kilo to hang it up after his most recent fight where he broke the SYN record for most wins, but apparently the #1 P4P fighter was upset that his opponent didn't pay the blood tribute and he wants another fight to appease the Just Bleed Gods.
We anticipate that Karim Johnson's camp is chomping at the bit for another shot at Kilo Maluga, especially after Kilo embarassed him at Supernova XII with a one sided smackdown of the Memphis born fighter to bring the SYN title back home. Kilo's victory over Karim was a revenge fight to even the score, as Karim defeated Kilo earlier in the year with a dominant clinch performance. This trilogy between the two best heavyweights in the game is certaintly the most anticipated fight on the table in the heavyweight division, and the man who wins will retain the crown and bragging rights.
