MMA superstar Kilo Maluga awarded key to the City of Angels

SYN veteran and MMA superstar Kilo Maluga is getting major recognition in Los Angeles.

SYN veteran and MMA superstar Kilo Maluga is getting props from the city of Los Angeles. The 35-year-old was awarded with the key to the city during a recent basketball game of the Compton Gunslingers, an affiliate team of the Harlem Globetrotters.
Mayor Kelsey T. Snowflake led the ceremony, where s/he lauded Maluga for his grit and determination. One thing the Mayor didn't care for however, were his massive testicals and toxic masculinity, but s/he gave Maluga the key to the city anyway because quite frankly he could take it from him/her and there was nothing they could do about it.

"We want to thank you for the grit and determination that you display every time you step into a fight," Snowflake said to MMA Tycoon Buzzfeed. "And I want you to know that that grit and determination is built into the very fabric of the city that you represent."

Kilo, the forever proud Kiribati native, accepted the recognition.

"I want to say it’s an honor, thank you very much to the gender neutral people of California for rocking with me. I am the #1 P4P fighter and have the largest balls left in the city. Thanks to Chris Karter and my coaches at Convicted Fight Club. I’ve been rocking the #1 headband this whole time. I’ll be rocking the #1 headband forever. I ain’t going nowhere."

Kilo, who entered the SYN organization via the YB Sol Invitational Grand Prix in 2020, has been a staunch fan favorite during his stint with the organization. His stock saw a massive boost when he defeated fellow superstar and #1 P4P fighter Kimbo Slice in the 1st round of the tournament.

Maluga last saw action at SYN 940 in November against GAMMA champion and rival Karim Johnson, whom he defeated via first-round knock out with his trademark right hand. He decided to take some time away from the cage to pursue other prizefighting ventures, which according to his manager, will likely involve a boxing or kickboxing run in 2023.

"I fought 5 times in MMA at 35 years old." Kilo says with a stone cold expression. "I have nearly 60 career fights. I've been hit by some of the hardest hitting fighters on the planet Earth. I've defeated all my rivals, and my back aches from carrying Karter to the top time and time again. He tells me to follow his orders 67% of the time and to see how it goes 33% of the time, but I don't listen to little men. I SHIG it 100% of the time. I am ready to give my purple belt back to Pluto Palhares and pursue a career in boxing or kickboxing. I could defeat Tyson Fury and Tom Obama in the same night and still have enough juice in the tank to run Floyd Mayweather Jr down and skull f*** him to death."
