Torment MMA Amsterdam Presents
Hello everyone Pat Miletich here to cover the upcoming Open Weight Grand Prix brought to us by Torment MMA Amsterdam. This is card brings me way back when weight didn't matter and we saw who truly was the baddest man on the planet no questions asked. The card is loaded with 10 awesome fights so when you roll up to The Beer Garden Arena fill your cups and and take a seat cause the action will be spectacular. There will be 12 former or current title holders in the Grand Prix total with tons of experince. With that said lets take a look at the fights that will be going down.
Prelims
Match #1
"Golden" Tony Flash (8-2-0) Vs. The "Motorhead" Moottorippa (15-8-0)
30 28
Canada England
7' 4" 300 5' 11" 212
Kicking things off we got a David vs Goliath matchup going down haha i dont think this will be the only one of those on the card. Flash is a KO artist who has finished 7 of his 8 wins by way of the knock out. Tony has only two losses on his record unfortunetley they where his last two fights. It seems he likes to bleed a lot which is why he lost his last two fights. Moottorippa is a very seasoned fighter this will be his 24th pro fight. He holds a purple belt in BJJ and has 6 subs under his belt. "Motorhead" is extremely quick which he will need going up against his Gigantic opponent. Look for him to try and get the big guy on the ground and use his great GnP to do damage.
Match #2
Fucke "Uuuuuuuu" Keith (19-14-0) Vs. Dave Mastain (12-6-1)
35 26
USA Canada
6' 2" 223 5' 11" 279
Next up we Mr. Keith will be coming into this fight at 35 years young and still getting the job done. Keith is a great boxer and wrestler with some fantastic submission skills to go with. A former Urbz Fighting Championship Heavyweight champ Fucke will be making his 34th apparence inside the cage. Mastain is deadly striker with nasty leg kicks he two is a former heavyweight champ with Gold Standard Fighting. Dave has a very good gas tank so if the fight goes into the later rounds he may be able to wear down his older foe, then again Keith might just show the youngster a thing or two about a cardio workout.
Match #3
Second Boy (11-9-0) Vs. Edmond Queensberry (3-8-0)
30 28
USA England
6' 2" 230 6' 6" 255
Second Boy has some great grappling credential's on his resume the BJJ Black Belt will be looking for a sub in this one quickly. 10 of his 11 wins where submission victory's including a Anderson Silva vs Chael Sonen type finish at Urbz FC 13 "Sub of the Night" no doubt. Queensberry is a very well rounded fighter though his record may not indicate he is dangerous anywhere the fight goes. Edmond will want to use his quickness to take control of the bout. He is managed by the Godfather of MMATycoon himself Mike Tycoon so i expect him to be ready for a war.
Match #4
Liam Hoch (3-2-0) Vs. Rock Johnson (28-17-0)
26 35
Netherlands USA
6' 0" 170 6' 5" 273
In are next bout we have a hometown favorite that is gonna need the fans to show him some serious support in this fight. Hoch is a huge underdog in this one he is a BJJ Brown belt and is gonna need to rely on a possible pulling of the guard and some crazy arse submission to pick up a upset here. The main problem for Hoch is that from what i hear he may training to hard for this one. Rock is a vicious striker with deadly high kicks. Johnson is got to be one of the favorites in this whole thing, i normally don't pick winners but i see Rock with a very early slaughtering.
Match #5
Gandlaf Cool (1-1-0) Vs. Sjing "Sjang" Sjask (8-1-0)
26 25
Jamaica Denmark
6' 2" 300 5' 10" 207
Are next bout may not happen as it has been reported that Gandlaf is back in Jamaica somewhere MIA. My guess is he is off by da beach toking up the ganja in a tent. If he does decide to show he will have his hands full. Gandlaf is a decent striker with KO Power but not much else is known about the guy. Sjask is one of the youngest guys in the Grand Prix but his skills are as good as anyones. He is a world class Striker 6 KO finishes. With only one loss which was his pro debut he is now on a roll winning 8 straight. If Cool does not show for this fight Sjask will recieve a first round bye to the next round.
Main Card
Match #6
"Child of Shooto" Hatsu Hioki (13-6-0) Vs. Lucas "The Gardener" Lepri (1-0-0)
26 27
Japan Brazil
5' 6" 151 6' 0" 180
Starting things off on the main card two of the smaller fighters will take to the cage. Hioki a former Ultimate Proving Grounds Featherweight champ has a very balanced attack. Hioki has a superb gas tank which should be the focus for his gameplan. Hatsu is very good on the ground with 11 submission victories. Lepri is by far the best when it comes to BJJ the Red belt is no doubt gonna try to get this one to the ground. Lepri is very unexperienced with only one pro belt it will be interesting to see how far his game has come in this match.
Match #7
Richard Cullen (15-10-0) Vs. Leonardo "Wrathchild" Ferreira (3-3-0)
27 20
USA Brazil
5' 11" 203 6' 4" 240
Next up former Cage Wars Middleweight champ Richard Cullen takes to the cage. Cullen is a elite wrestler with great elbows and a all around good game. He has 9 KO's under his belt and would love to score another this Friday night. Leonardo is a Muay Thai specialist and has finished all 3 of his wins by various KO's. He seems to be dangerous with his hands and feet and can mix them up well. For a big guy he is very quick maybe he can use that to surprise the more experienced Cullen.
Match #8
Atsushi "Guardfuck" Gracie (8-2-0) Vs. Davide Moratti (4-2-0)
22 26
Japan Italy
6' 6" 278 6' 6" 290
Are next Matchup pits two big Mofo's with both guys standing in at 6' 6". Gracie is the current Torment MMA Amsterdam Heavyweight champ. Atsushi is a beast on the ground with great wrestling and Brown belt in BJJ. Seems like he has a thing for of the Night awards to with 6 of them taken home. Moratti is also very good on the ground with that said chances are that is where this bout will be going. Davide has some great GnP as seen in all of his victories. Lets see who has the better Grappling though that should be the diffrence maker in this one.
Co-Main Event
Dog Hercules (24-6-1) Vs. Wayde "The Wizard" Bowser (2-1-0)
29 21
Denmark USA
6' 10" 300 5' 11" 235
The Co-Main event is up next and what stylistic clash we have in this one. Dog is the Superheavyweight title holder here at Torment MMA. He is a very deadly striker if his fist don't get you his knees will. With 13 KO's you have got to respect this guy's striking ability. Bowser has only 3 pro fights so he is giving up a huge amount of experienced. His skills are very well versed though with the focus being his world class Muay Thai. Wayde may be low on the experince but with a great manager such as his this should make for a awesome clash.
Main Event
"The" Craig David (21-20-0) Vs, "Saint" Allowin Baaf (27-11-1)
34 32
England Belguim
6' 2" 218 6' 1" 182
Finally in are main event of the evening we have two men both of whom have 40 fights on there record. In the Red corner we have Craig David who is one of the originators of the MMATycoon world, he poses some lethal elbows. Craig is a KO artist with 12 knockouts to show. He almost has equal the amount of loses as he does wins but the dude brings it every time he steps in the cage. In the Blue Corner the former Sisu Fighting Championshps Welterweight champ. Baaf is equally as dangerous on his feet as he has finished 16 of his victims with big KO's. "Saint" is best known for his big right hand which David will guaranteed want to stay the hell away from. This bout is gonna be awesome two legends of the game going head to head you couldn't ask for more in a Main event
Well thats all i got for this one folks make sure you tune it to check out the show it's gonna be fireworks. As always best of luck to the warriors stepping into the cage this Friday night.
