SPPS Champion reacts to teammate posing with ex-GF

Fighter profile of Nick Barkley by Jason "JBOMB" Smith

Nick "Captain Hook" Barkley (22-11-0 MMA) has reacted after Combate Light heavyweight contender Anthony Ochoa posted a photo with Nick's former girlfriend Trina Cortez.

Anthony "El Cazador" Ochoa (23-12-0 MMA, 2-1 KT) sent the internet into a frenzy earlier this week when he shared the following photo alongside social media influencer Trina Cortez on Buzz.

“Happy Friday” – Ochoa captioned the photo.
Fight fans were quick to jump to conclusions following the post, with many believing the hard-hitting light heavyweight is now in a relationship with the 29-year-old Mexican swimsuit model and content creator.
Those presumptions prompted many fans to bring up Cortez’s former boyfriend Nick Barkley, and the comments citing ‘Captain Hook’ were not very complimentary.
  “Nick Barkley to 185 confirmed?”
  “Fumble… viva la Mexico!”
“Nick Barkley is drowning in tears seeing this…”
  “Brutal fumble by Captain Hook…”
“Nick Barkley just decided to move up to light heavyweight.”
“Nick Barkley is somewhere on his knees right now.”
“His teammate stole his lady. His little bro Derrick gonna hit it next.”

After likely being bombarded with notifications spawning from Anthony Ochoa’s recent post, the current SPPS middleweight champion took to social media where he offered the following sentiments.

“Everyone out here talking bout I fumbled. Y’all must not know the rules of the game. When you drop the ball on accident that’s a fumble, but when you throw it away on purpose. That’s called a complete pass. Top G shit!”
Nick Barkley has not competed inside the cage since capturing the Middleweight champion against former #1 Middleweight in the world, Tanaka Matsuda. ‘Captain Hook’ captured the former champion with his signature hook to score a TKO in that fight and capture the Middleweight title. Barkley has since been working on building version 3.0 of himself.

Meanwhile, Anthony Ochoa is slated to return to the Combate cage at Combate 209 pay-per-view event in a light heavyweight contest against black belt Zeke Titus. ‘El Cazador’ last competed against Mohammed Kahn, where he lost by submission in the 3rd round.
