Klimenko seeks legendary challenger from another dimension!

Event Preview: DMMA 225 Klimenko vs Kiryu

Since making the switch to DMMA from former LAFC, Middleweight champion and #6 p4p fighter Zachary Klimenko has embarked on a terrorising run rarely seen in the Tycoon universe. Working his way up into the rankings has seen the Ukrainian fighter earn a reputation for brutal knockout ability, but he has since adapted and diversified his gameplan to show that he's capable of winning in all areas on the scorecards.

"It is like chess" says the 5 time DMMA Middleweight champion, "As I said in the documentary, you need strength but you also need cunning."

Fresh off his impressive win in his superfight against SYN 185 Champion Oke Swahn, the enigmatic Klimenko demanded a quick turnaround for his next scheduled defence of his DMMA belt due to commitments back in his native Ukraine. This had org owners scrambling to find a suitable fight slot, given they had previously pencilled in the fight for the following week. However, the team at DMMA came through and the fight was booked and signed for what has turned out to be an incredibly stacked card to finish off the week in Amsterdam. DMMA fans will recall that Klimenko has fought in the 209 Arena once before - the fateful night where Klimenko first defeated incumbent Middleweight champ Macca Outback to earn his first DMMA title.

But who could possibly stand before the surging Ukrainian? Enter the myth, the legend, the 4th Chairman of the Tojo Clan. Enter the Dragon of Dojima, Kazuma Kiryu.

For those who have any taste, there should not be any need to introduce Kiryu. This man defies all physics and all rules. So much so, there have even been reports of a very similar lookalike fighting in other orgs, similar to the situation chronicled in Yakuza Kiwami 2. However, this version is managed by the legendary Tosen and is a DMMA OG.

In between his time spent dealing with Yakuza issues in his own timeline and running an orphanage or two, Kiryu has also committed himself to putting together a decent career in the DMMA 185 division. He rides a 4 win streak (including a guest stint at WVT) and brings a rounded game. This will be his 2nd attempt at a DMMA title and Kiryu-chan will be looking to dance all over Klimenko like it's Friday night at the disco (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfEnIFV2-mc)
