This week on Rags to riches I decided to take a trip up to Maine located in the far northeast of the United States to get a closer look on what makes Joshua Jackson who he is. I stopped by his old boxing Gym in Skowhegan Maine to talk to his old coach Carlos Warren. In Carlos’s own words, “Joshua yes I’ll never forget get that kid he was the most determined guy I’ve ever meet he never gave up no matter what he had the heart of a champion.” Carlos was Joshua’s coach for a little over 2 years in which Joshua had 6 fights. A record of 3 and 3 some may say that’s a very bad record but if you met the guys he fought you would understand perfectly. Carlos told me that Joshua started with him after he got in trouble with the law. Joshua’s probation officer got in contact with Carlos he was looking for a sport that Joshua could engage himself in. “When I first met this kid I just said another punk trying to show off and act tough boy was I wrong he train like a animal never stopping during breaks he just want to improve it was a site to see” says Carlos. So it’s been about a week and josh is looking good he has had a bit of trouble with his wind of late so we are working on cardio trying to get him ready for a fight we are going to work a little bit on punching technique and submissions I think in another week Joshua will be in a quick fight tournament.
