YEAH!!! What's happening my boys? It's ya boy, Ganja, coming to you live from my basement. I know what you're thinking. Who is this guy and what is he doing? Well, I'm the new writer, bitches. I'll be reviewing all di fights now, so you better get used to my nice, caramel skin. Enough of the introductions, you came here to hear about the fights. God damn! Give me a minute! Being here in Rio was something else for sure. I love the big-booty Brazilian women, the big bottles of beer and the big, fat joints they sell here. Sure, sure you want to hear about the fights, I'll be getting there in a second. Nothing like a handful of ass and three thousand screaming fans to get my blood flowing. Ganja's back and he's excited to be here at The Wild Den! The playful banter is over, let's review the fights. Shall we?

Main Event:

"Tetra Master" Wedge Xiii (8-0) Vs. Gim "The Jester" Ruut (12-3)

This fight proved why the org is called The Wild Den. Ganja has said many times he loves the lower weight classes and these guys only deepen my love. The long time champion, Wedge Xiii was defending his title for the fifth time. Jesus! Can anyone stop his monstrous takedowns? Gim Ruut was looking answer that question, and he did, kinda. Ruut brought a Boxing/BJJ attack to the fight, hoping to neutralized the champ's world class Wrestling. The champ was in control from the start. All the fights in MMA start standing, but that doesn't mean they'll end that way. The champ easily took the challenger down after a brief exchange of strikes and began his renown ground and pound.  Ruut managed to get up momentarily but was taken back down shortly after. The champion continued to dominate the action and even tried for an Americana. After his failed sub attempt, Xiii went back to work with his wrestling and willingly started to land blows on his opponent. Ruut looked like he wasn't even trying to defend. I gotta hand it to Ruut though, he hung in there with a superior wrestler and constantly fought for control. Sadly, effort doesn't win fights. The champion continued to rain down blows, rocking the challenger late in the first. Xiii landed and massive elbow that set up the two huge shots that knocked Ruut into week. The ref surprisingly stopped the fight on time. Incompetent refs are very common these days...

Wedge Xiii wins via TKO (Strikes) in 3:56 of round one.

Co-Main Event:

"The Tapout Artist" Dravik Stone (9-3) Vs. Dark "Syn Szatana" Bori (6-3)

The Co-Main Event was brief but it didn't disappoint. Dravik Stone, the well rounded promotional newcomer faced Dark Bori. Bori has fought in The Den before, winning both fights. He was the perfect test for Stone but Stone proved us all wrong. After the bell rang, Stone went for the takedown and immediately got it. He worked through Boris's guard like it was nothing. Bori was simply no match for the high-level BJJ at work. Stone easily got Bori's back and slapped on a choke. A rear naked choke. Stone squeezed with that Gorilla strength of his and forced Bori to tap out. I wish I could write more but what else is there to be said?

Dravik Stone wins via Submission (RNC) in 0:45 of round one.

Main Card:

Rafael "Devil" Pierce (7-6) Vs. Van Chooke (5-4)

Well, the time has finally come! It's the battle of the horrible records. Let's not get out of hand here, folks. These guys may look bad on paper but they never fail to bring it. It's killed or be killed for these guys. They're always going for the finish. Neither man has world class skills. Botha fighters are well-rounded but Pierce had the Wrestling advantage in this fight and he certainly used it. Seconds after the bell rang, Pierce took Chooke down and immediately looked to outdo his fellow BJJ practitioner. Pierce imposed his will from the start. He easily transitioned through his opponent's guard and was looking for the submission right away. Chooke wouldn't budge easily however, he is a Brown Belt after all. They continued to work late into the first, Pierce dominating the action with his relentless submission attempts. Pierce took Chooke's back in an instant and applied a deep Rear Naked Choke. Chooke was force to tap or be put to sleep. Chooke got choked!

Rafael Pierce wins via Submission (RNC) in 2:26 of round one.

Kaarlo Gustav (0-0-1) Vs. Dois Pra Um (8-5)

Ganja loves the rematch! There isn't a better feeling in this world than watching two fighters face each other once again. Their first meeting lead to a draw, but I knew the seconds wouldn't be so dull. Gustav was desperate to capture that first win. Pra Um was looking to get back on track but the youngster was having none of it. This fight is a perfect example of true MMA. These fighters fought with every weapon in their arsenal arsenal and every aspect of the game. The fight itself was razor-thin but the action was definitely worth it. Both men looked to assert themselves early, the first round was a back and forth battle in the clinch, the stand up and the ground. Both fighters looked desperate for the win, they were throwing bombs like their lives depended on it! The second and third weren't any different. At the en of the fight I thought it would be another draw but Gustav did a bit more than his opponent and got the win. We'll probably be seeing another rematch.

Kaarlo Gustav wins via Unanimous Decision.

Marcos "Lightning" Silva (4-2) Vs. Ipad Dsix (2-2)

Ahhhnother case of pure dominance. Who's making these fights? Silva is well-rounded monster going up against a generic stand up fighter. Things would no doubt turn ugly for the striker. Silva took control of the clinch early. Once he got his hooks in, there's no stopping this man. After working his opponent a bit he went for the expected takedown and started to work the ground to his advantage. Silva started to pound his opponent into the canvas as the first round closed. The bell didn't ring and Silva was bolting out of his corner to take his opponent down yet again. Silva had way more time to work though. He breezed his way past Dsix's guard and started dropping bombs. Silva continued his grounded assault mid-way through the seconds , then decided to change levels and went for submissions instead. Silva worked tirelessly to tap Dsix out but the do called "clique" held his own on the ground. Every man has a breaking point and Dsix had enough. Silva mounted Dsix and slapped on a Arm Triangle before applying his vice grip. Dsix looked unharmed until Silva gave up the position. Dsix slumped to his side, unconscious. I've never seen anything like that.

Marcos Silva wins via Submission (Arm Triangle) in 4:58 of round two.
