TTFC's Saurus Vs Johnson Preview

Editorial by Mike Thomas

Welcome everyone to the Liberty Dome in New York City. TTFC's brings you fight fans a great card tonight in TTFC Saurus Vs Johnson. Let get it started.

First fight of the night is

Hellson Ballswick vsBenjamin Sniddlegrass 145lb class

Hellson Ballswick is making his TTFC Debut when he faces Benjamin Sniddlegrass. Hellson is a very experianced and talented fighter that just hasnt been able to put everything together when he steps into the cage. He seems to wilt under the bright lights. He has fought in 3 different weight classes and that might have been the problem as he has just never been able to get comfortable. He is hoping that all changes tonight. Benjamin is still looking for his first TTFC victory. Benjamin is a very young fighter that has alot of potentional if he can just gain some momentum and get his first victory. He needs to settle done a bit when he fights as he tends to get sloppy and that has gotten him in trouble in his last few fights.

Prediction: For Benjamin to win this fight he is going to have to come in with a good game plan and stick to it. He needs to use his MT advantage and keep his Opp. guessing and do so without getting sloppy. He would be best served to get this fight in the clinch and make this a dirty fight. For Hellson to win I think he is going to have to stay out of the clinch and use his Boxing and wrestling to control space and frustrate Benjamin into making a mistake, Then he need to capitalize on that mistake and go in for the Kill shot. Both men have been stopped in the past. I think this fight can go either way but I think Hellson is just to experianced and will get the Dec win in the end.

Kyle Reese vs Dwight Grant  145lb class

Kyle Reese is a very Intersting fighter he has all the tools physically to be a champion but he hasnt been able to string any wins together. He has alternated wins and losses for the last 6 fights and he is hoping to break that streak tonight, His Opp Dwight Grant is just 3-6 in TTFC. He is also very talented and is looking to put together his first 2 fight winning streak together in TTFC if he gets the win.

Prediction: Neither of these two fighters are very Aggressive on there feet but they both are very accurate with the punches and kicks they do throw. They both like to fight on the ground. For Dwight to win this fight he is going to have to do something he doesnt like and keep this fight on the feet and hope for a dec. win. I just dont think he can hang with Reese on the ground but what he can do is length to control the distance with his Jab and pepper his Opp. then every so often use his boxing to setup his takedowns at the end of the rounds to secure the Dec. For Kyle he is going to want to use his MT advantage to kicks to wear his Opp. legs out before he shoots for the takedown were he can then use his great GnP to get the win. But he must becareful as his Opp has a good submission game. I think Kyle is going to be to fast and is going to be able to take this fight to the ground and then get the GnP TKO win in the second round.

Kron Gracie vs Yorick Brown 205lb class

Kron Gracie is a difficult fighter to figure out he has shown great abilty in the past but as of late he has not fought up to his ablilty many people say it was because of friction between him and his previous manger. But with that in the past he has said he is more focused than ever. Yorick Brown is a very exciting fighter. None of his fights in TTFC have gone to the 3rd round as he has won by KO or lost by KO. He is the type of fighter that comes into a fight to KO you or to get Koed either way the fight is not going the distance.

Prediction: For Kron he is not going to have to look far for Yorick because of Yorick in your face style. The question is can he take advantage of that style. He is going to want to get this fight to the ground and work his Submission game. For Yorick there is no mystery in what he wants to do. He is going to come out and get in your face and try to Knock you out. Kron is going to havea tough fight on his hands as he hasnt shown much power in his career. With that being said I think Yorick is going to win this fight by KO in the 3rd round after a back and forth fight.

Agamemnon Coon vs Jeremy Jenkins 205lb class

Coon comes into this fight with a 5-5 record in TTFC. He comes into this fight on the heels of a KO with over Former TTFC fighter Rainbow Trout. He is a Elite Wrestler with great Gnp to go along with his Black Belt in BJJ. Coon is a extremly talented ground fighter and is really working hard on getting his stand up game better. Jeremy comes into this fight with a 2-1 record in TTFC. He comes into this fight on the heels of a Big Victory over Nanak Singh which earned him the KO of the night honors. Jeremy is a Exceptional Wrestler with a brown belt in BJJ. Jeremy is also a very good ground fighter too and he has been working hard on getting his standup game better. The one thing you can say about Jenkins is that he doesnt like to go to the score cards.

Prediction: Both of these fighter like to fight on the ground. Both fighters have great GnP and have very good power but also both have questionable chins. I dont see this fight going the distance someone is getting KOed in this fight. I think Agamemnon Coon is going to be to much for Jenkins and will get the TKO win in the 1st round.

Oil Slick vs Hugo Stglitz   145lb class

Oil Slick is one of the most Dangerous 145lb fighters in TTFC. He is a former VFC and TTFC Champion. He has beatin some of the best fighter in the world. He is a fighter that has Big time Experience against big time Oppenants. Oil like to take his Opp. to the ground and grind his Opp. into submission. Hugo Stglitz is also a former Champion himself so he has some experience in big time fights. He can to TTFC basically as unknown fighter in New York with a below .500 record. Two dominating wins later and he is back at .500 and looking to build on the 2 first round wins. In his last three fights he is 3-0 and all 1st round stoppages so to say he is a dangerous fighter would be a understatement.

Prediction: If Oil slick comes into this fight looking at Hugo's record and thanks this is going to be a cake walk he is going to find himself in trouble and could find himself leaving the arena with a loss. Oil is going to have to take his Opp seriously and do what he does best and grind  Hugo down. For Hugo he is going to be looking to do the same thing he has since coming to TTFC and that is looking to finish this fight in a Hurry. Hugo has looked Dominate in both of his wins in TTFC but this is a big step up in Comp. I think for him to win this fight he is going to have to hope Oil has overlooked him. I dont think Oil is going to overlook Hugo and I think Oil is going to make a statement in this fight and finish his Opp by Submission in the 1st Round.

Stan Richard vs Alaric Visigoth 155lb class

Richard vs Visigioth is a very Interesting fight both fighters are very talented. Stan is a more well rounded fighter than Alaric and will want to keep this fight on its feet where he can use his striking Advantage to get the win. Alaric is going to want to get this fight to the ground which should not be a suprise to Stan as this is what Alaric does in all his fights. With the Wrestling Alaric has he could very well get the takedowns and end this fight in a hurry.

Prediction: This fight is really hard to predict because both fighters have the talent to beat the other. For Stan I think he is going to want to make Alaric pay  when he comes in and tries to get the takedown. For as goood as Alaric is at wrestling Stan is also a great wrestler. For Alaric he is going to want to mix his takedown attempts up with some timely striking in order for him to secure the takedown and if he does get the fight to the ground he is going to want to becareful not to get to Aggressive and lose position. I really think Alaric can win this fight if he can get it to the ground and use his Dominating GnP but with that being said I think Stan will be able to keep the fight standing enough and dominate the stand up game to win a close decision.

Phantom Menace vs Aldo Raine 185lb class

This is a very interesting fight Phantom seems to have the better power but Aldo seems to be better at mixing up his striking both fighter are very dangerous and are former Champions. Phantom is a very Aggressive in your face type of fighter he is comfortable where ever the fight goes as he can end fights from anywhere. Aldo is also a very Aggressive fighter too but he seems to be more Accurate with his striking and looks to wear his Opp. down more than ending fights with KO power.

Prediction: Phantom is going to want to stay out of the clinch and if he finds himself in the clinch he is going to want to use his Takedowns to get this fight to the ground where he is at a advantage. He also has a very big reach advantage which I think he should use to control the distance. For Aldo he is going to want to keep this fight on the feet and us movement to get inside of phantoms reach to make this fight a close range fight where I think he can be most affective. He is not going to what to stay outside and trade with Phantom if he does he is going to get Koed. If he can use his Kicks to keep phantom guessing then take this fight to the clinch he could easily wina decision which is the only way I think he wins this fight as he hasnt shown the type of power that is need to KO Phantom. That being said I think Phantom is just to good and will get this fight on the ground at some point and he will end it there. I think Phanton wins this one by late 3rd round TKO strikes.

Co-Main Event
Ilya Murometz vs Hiranuka Stakanu 265lb class

This fight is between a fighter that has been to the top and a fighter that is working to get to the top. In Hiranuka you have a fighter that was one of the best fighters at 265+ ever. He is looking to get back in the win column and get another shot at the title after coming up short in his last fight. In IIya you have a fighter on the way up the ladder with a 8-2 record in TTFC he is looking to take the next step. For IIya to take that next step he is going to have to take a step up in comp. He is on a 5 fight win streak and many people believe if he wins this fight he will be in line for a title shot.

Prediction: This is a big step up for IIya the question is he ready for it? For IIya to win this fight I think he is going to have to use his speed to stick and move. If he finds himself on the ground he needs to use his scrambling abilty to get back to his feet. If he can do that he has a great chance at winning this fight. For Hiranuka he is going to want to cut off the cage and get this fight to the ground. He is not going to want to chase IIya around for 3 rounds if he does he could find himself on the wrong end of a decision. If he gets this fight to the ground he is going to want to use his great submission game to get the win. I think IIya can win this fight if he fights smart but with that being said I am going with Hiranuka by Submission in the 3rd round. I think IIya is going to be a great fighter but I just think this is a bit to much of a step up at this point in his career.

The Main Event

Frank Saurus vs Andy Johnson 155lb Class Title Fight

This is a rematch Between to of the best 155ers in TTFC. Last time out the Champ Frank dominated Andy in a sinlge round by Submission less than 2 minutes into the fight. Many experts think that in that fight Andy just overlooked the Champ. The Champ is going into this fight to prove that the first time wasnt a fluke and Andy is going in to prove that it was a fluke. Both fighters are every talented but on paper Andy Johnson is more talented but fights are not won on paper. The Champ Frank has defended his title a record 5 times and is looking to make it 6. Andy Johnson is looking for his first title and second shot at The Champ.

Prediction: Both fighters like to fight on the ground but as evident in the last fight The Champ was the better ground fighter. I Think Andy has all the tools to become a Champion but he hasnt been able to put it all together. I think the last time these to fighters fought Andy wasnt ready for it. I think the Champ had a great game plan and threw Andy off his game. I think the Bright lights combined with a great game plan cause Andy to loss that fight. I think this fight will be very different than the first fight. I think this will be a back and forth fight where both fighters will have there moments but in the end I think it will be The Champ that once again gets his hand raised for a Decision win.
