Watch out! The Black Panther is on a Hunt

Fighter profile of Abasi Njagi by Smoke Makunouchi

 The Journey to Pitbull Grappling

Sitting across from Abasi "The Black Panther" Njagi, you can feel the quiet confidence radiating from him. At 28 years old, the grappler from Voi, Kenya, has carved out a reputation as one of the most dangerous submission artists in the sport. Now three wins into his Pitbull Grappling career, Njagi is laser-focused on his next goal: a title shot.

“It feels great to be part of Pitbull Grappling,” Njagi shares with a smile. “This is an organization where grappling gets the spotlight it deserves. I’ve always felt that my style was made for a platform like this, and so far, it’s been a perfect fit.”

Dominating Pitbull Grappling

Njagi’s three consecutive wins in the organization have been nothing short of spectacular. Each fight showcased his technical mastery and relentless approach to grappling. “Every match is a chess game,” he explains. “It’s about control, precision, and capitalizing on mistakes. My opponents might think they’re safe, but the moment they slip, I’m on them.”

When asked about his recent winning streak, Njagi remains humble but confident. “The streak is nice, but I’m not here just to win matches — I’m here to dominate. I’ve got my eyes on that title, and I’ll earn my shot with another win.”

Eyes on the Prize

Njagi’s ambitions are clear: take the Pitbull Grappling title and cement his legacy as one of the sport’s elite. “The belt isn’t just a symbol: it’s proof that you’re the best. That’s what I’m chasing,” he declares.

And what about his next fight? Njagi doesn’t hesitate. “It’s another step on the journey. I’ll do what I always do: control the mat, push the pace, and finish the fight. After that, the title is next.”

For Abasi Njagi, the future is as clear as his technique: relentless, calculated, and destined for greatness. “I’m not done yet,” he says, his eyes gleaming with determination. “The Black Panther is on a hunt, prey should start running or they will get caught”
