Interviewer: Bud, we’re just days away from your TUF Tournament debut on April 12. How are you feeling heading into this matchup against “Back Up”?
Bud Lawrence:
I feel like a 270-pound freight train sittin’ on the tracks, and “Back Up” is just a squirrel in the way. I didn’t come here to dance, I came here to do what I do best—ground, pound, and collect what’s mine. This ain’t just a fight, it’s a public service announcement: Don’t get underneath The Bulldozer.
Interviewer: You’ve been known for your wrestling and, let’s be honest, some savage ground-and-pound. Is that the plan for Saturday?
Bud Lawrence:
Absolutely. Why would I throw hands when I can throw people? I’m not gonna win a boxing match with anyone—I know that. But if I get my hands on you, you’re gonna wish you stayed home and watched soap operas. I'm gonna fold him up like a lawn chair and beat the creases out of him.
Interviewer: What do you think of your opponent, “Back Up”?
Bud Lawrence:
Listen, I respect anyone who signs the dotted line—but with a name like Back Up, that’s exactly what he better be doing the second the cage door shuts. Backin’ up. Backin’ away. Backin’ out. Because when I start swinging, it’s like getting hit by a brick house with trust issues.
Interviewer: You’re only 18 and already making waves in a tournament packed with killers. What drives you?
Bud Lawrence:
I’m from Doylestown, PA. We grow tough in the cold, we train in the mud, and we don’t blink. I’ve been training for war since I could crawl. This ain’t about fame, this ain’t about fortune—this is about domination. I’m here to send a message: the future of heavyweight MMA just landed, and his name is Bud "GNP" Lawrence.
Interviewer: Any final words before Saturday night?
Bud Lawrence:
Tell the camera crew to keep it rolling. It won’t last long, but folks are gonna wanna replay this one. Saturday night, I make Back Up back out—and then I bulldoze through the rest of this tournament.
