 Cowboy as they call him is currently training for his professional LW debut next month on November 9th 2012 at VFF 36. Donald has had two amature fight in the QFC going 1-1 winning his first fight in just 00:31 with a viscous KO stoppage. In his second outing he stepped up on short notice for an injured fighter and ended up falling short in that fight via a rear naked choke.
"I learned from my mistakes in that fight, I should have had a full training camp and proper time to prepare. Anything can happen in MMA so you can't take unnecessary risks in this game, you know?" Mr. Cerrone was quoted saying to the media after his loss.
Shortly after that loss he picked up and moved training camps from Las Vegas to Amsterdam. "I needed to get out of my comfort zone and make some changes in my training" he said commenting on his recent move.
Cowboy finds himself with a brand new shinny 4 fight contract from Vigor Fighting as well as two new sponsorships. The league will open their doors for the first time to the light weight division with tournament next month which will crown the inaugural LW champion.
Donald who is manly a stand up fighter will look to keep this fight on the feet. He comes into MMA with a background in Muay Thai where he went undefeated as a professional. Cowboy said "Don't blink cause this fight won't go the distance that's for sure, he is going to sleep."
With his pro debut just under a month away he will have ample time to train and be properly prepared for his next opponent. All eyes will be on Mr. Cerrone this November 9th waiting and watching to see if he is the real deal or if this Diamond in the Rough needs more polishing.
