MAIN CARD

Heavyweight Title Fight

Oleg Alekseev (7-2, 3-0 NGF)vs Leifur Le (4-3, 1-0 NGF)

This is Alekseev’s first title defense since winning the title by TKO’ing David Abbot Jr. in the 2nd round at NGF 16. The amazing Alekseev enters the fight riding a 6 win streak. Le earned himself the title shot with a KO of the night winning performance in NGF 18 by stopping Obidiah Fitzroy in the 1st round. Le enters the fight on a 2 fight win streak.

This is a matchup that highly favors Alekseev who has TKO’ed his last 6 fighters, 4 of them being stopped due to cuts. Le lost 3 fights in a row before winning his last two fights, but somehow found himself in a title fight after just 1 win in the NGF. If Le can somehow avoid the jack hammer right hand from Alex, then he might have a fighting chance. PREDICTION: Alekseev, 2nd round TKO.

Heavyweight Fight

David Abbott Jr (8-5, 0-1 NGF) vs Ulisiaz Crunch (4-1, 1-1NGF)

David “The Train” Abbott is trying to bounce back after losing to Oleg Alekseev in his debut fight. Abbott is on a 2 fight losing streak, but can finish anyone quickly. He has 4 TKO/KO and 3 SUB finishes out of his 8 wins, including 2 SOTK and 1 KOTK awards. Crunch is coming off a submission win of Tweek Sanguine at NGF 16. A submission artist, Crunch has won all his bouts by submission. “Cpt” Crunch also has never been out of the 1st round. Both fighters look pretty evenly matched, with Crunch holding a slight edge if it gets to the mat. PREDICTION: Abbott Jr. 1st round TKO.

Heavyweight Fight

Tweek Sanguine (5-1, 1-1 NGF) vs Raul Zergopalitix (4-2, 0-1 NGF)

Sanguine is trying to rebound after suffering his 1st career loss to Ulisiaz Crunch at NGF 16. A brown belt in BJJ, Sanguine will try to get this fight to the mat where he has won 3 fights by submission. Zergopalitix is coming off a loss in NGF 15 by way of armbar submission to Ruslan Kalinin. “Zergling” is a wonderful wrestler who can ground and pound anyone out. He has 4 career T(KO) wins, 2 of them cut stoppages. He’s aggressive, sometimes overly aggressive, which has led to his 2 losses, but by submission. Both fighters don’t have much of a standup game, so this should be fought on the mat, this should favor Sanguine. PREDICTION: Sanquine, 2nd round submission.

Lightheavy Weight Fight

Kert Nigobson (4-3, 1-1 NGF) vs Ivan Grozni (7-2)

Nigobson is a well rounded fighter, who seems to lack some focus. He’s shown signs of domination, but in other fights he loses focus, and has been submitted. He is coming off an impressive TKO at NGF 16 by finishing Geoff Strangle. Nigobson will be looking to match his longest winning streak of 2 with a win over Ivan Grozni. “Deadman” Ivan is making his NGF debut in this fight. A highly sought after prospect, just 22 years old, Grozni has devastating punching and standup skills. Having 4 wins in his last 5 fights, all by T(KO), Grozni looks to take opponents out quickly. This fight may be one of the best on the card. PREDICTION: Gronzni 2nd round TKO.

PRELIM CARD

Welterweight Fight

Edvard Westerlund (6-3, 1-1 NGF) vs Lance Rock (4-4, 3-2 NGF)

Westerlund is coming off a upset decision win vs Adam Yauch at NGF 21. Rock is coming off a devastating loss to Dmitry Timonyn where he lost his title at NGF 18. Rock a former champion, has much more desire to be on top once again. PREDICTION: Rock 1st round KO.

Heavyweight Fight

Ivan Kuznetsov (4-1, 1-1 NGF) vs Kullervo Pelli (5-2, 2-0 NGF)

Ivan “The Terrible” suffered his 1st career loss last fight at NGF 17. Pelli possess 1 KOTN and 1 SOTN award and has T(KO)’ed every opponent. Pelli won his KOTN award at NGF 16 with a 2nd round KO of Benjamin Ruggiero just 5 seconds in. PREDICTION: Pelli 2nd round TKO.

Bantamweight Fight

PO Burn (4-2, 3-0 NGF) vs Yngwie Malmsteen (3-0, 2-0 NGF)

Burn a remarkable boxer and a purple belt in BJJ has a TKO, decision and submission win in the NGF. Malmsteen coming off a KOTN at NGF 19, has 1 punch KO power. 3-0 vs 2-0, so someone’s O has to go! PREDICTION: Malmsteen, 1st round KO.

Middleweight Fight

Francesco Mercuri (3-1, 2-1 NGF) vs Lenard Skinnard (4-1, 4-1 NGF)

Mercuri coming off a loss at NGF Fight Night 5, a brown belt in BJJ, looks for a submission at every chance. Skinnard who looks to avoid the ground at all costs, will look to make Mercuri his 5th win by way of T(KO). PREDICTION: Skinnard 1st round KO.

Light Heavyweight Fight

Michal Materla (3-1, 2-1 NGF) vs Vinicius Oliveira (1-1, 1-0 NGF)

It’s been over a month since Materla last fought, a gruesome display of ground and pound making Ivan Zhukov tap. Oliveira just 20 years old, lacks the training that the 26 year old Materla has received, but is also deadly on the ground. PREDICTION: Materla, 2nd round submission win.
