Sucker Punch Pro Series
2021-11-20, Sydney, Sydney Superdome
Attendance:29,100, Event Rating:432
Author:Hare Rumpler

Hey everybody out there in Sucker Punch land!  I know it’s been a couple more days than I said it would since this event went off down in Sydney at the 30,000 seat Superdome.  But hey, better late than never and I really did want to do a review for this one given I was out of town on a college tour with my middle daughter, resulting in no preview for this event!  This was one of our highest rated events to date and there was a ton of great action!  I won’t drag this out, let’s get into the fun and look at each of the fights that took place and what they mean both to the fighters and to the division.  As always though, a quick word first about our merchandise partner and sponsor!

Do you find that you’re resting your fighters too often? Two, three, maybe even 4 times a week sometimes?  If that’s the case, you’re probably not supplementing their training, and if you are I

Caged Dragons Rankings as of Nov 14 2021

*Rankings are based solely upon ranking in W/C, with One to Watch being a fighter we feel should be included as a contender despite rank. This may increase in the future to ensure our long term fighters get a fair chance at a title over new fighters in the Org. All titl

Fighter profile of Olan Johnson by Jack Lawless

Olan

Many have heard the name Olan. The 5-0 fighter makes highlight reels across every type of social media and snapchat “Top 10” lists, as his dazzling displays of knee striking drop opponent after opponent to the canvas. I managed to grab the elusive Ohio native for an interview. What does the world look like through Olan’s eyes?

Welcome Olan, great to have you on the Cage Coverage podcast, sponsored by New Glarus brewery. Tell me a little bit about yourself? Something I can’t get off of the Wikipedia page.

Olan: Well, I grew up in a pretty rural part of Ohio. My first ever fight, I fought some punk for harassing my sister. Beat his ass so good, his parents pulled him from the district. And honestly, I lo

Watching fights live

Editorial by Alika Webb

Once upon a time I went to see a boxing match with my best friend. To this day, I still consider it the most memorable fight I’ve ever seen live.

This match was for the Belgian title, a ten round fight. The champion was a dominant KO puncher and a household name in the Belgian boxing scene. The challenger was a complete unknown to me at the time, now I find myself unable to completely forget his name.

The champion came in and absolutely dominated from the get go. The technique, speed and agility from the champion in the early rounds was phenomenal and on point. The champion closed the distance in a heartbeat, landed a punishing sharp combination of punches and got out of harm’s way before the challenger could retaliate. The first couple of rounds consisted of the champion dancing circles around t
