Champion? Or just dad?

Fighter profile of Carlos Jos Ricci by David Swain

Carlos Jos Ricci, a rising star in the Ultimate Pit Fighting Org. (UPF), has started to really make a name for himself around town. He is currently undefeted and next Saturday, November 10th, will be facing Rickson "The Grappler" Gracie for the UPF Light-Heavyweight championship belt.

Jos Ricci has had to overcome many obstacles on his path to success. Born in Brazil, he became an orphan at age 3, when his parents were murder in front of him by a street gang in Rio De Janeiro. After the death of his parents he was taken in by his aunt Maria in Hilo, HI. Raised on the wrong side of town Carlos quickly learned the ways of the street and how to defend himself. As a youth he had a hard time staying in school because he kept being expelled for fighting.

As a teenager Carlos developed a hatred for street gangs

The genesis of a new era: Gaius Arabi.

Fighter profile of Gaius Arabi by Luan Dovik

Gaius Arabi was always into fights. He started training to defend himself from bullies at school and it got to a point where he choked out one of his colleagues that was trying to punch him. He got the respect he deserved in those times, but he decided he wanted to do more with those skills. He began training with the GSF Team to become a MMA fighter. He continue to develop his high level BJJ with a lot of stand-up and he got to a point where he was about to start his career. He took some fights in the local QFC and made a 3-0 record for himself. He decided that after a little while he would take on a fight at a big organization and he did so in the Omnislash Gauntlet 60˝: Independence Sway. He fought Akumi Sadoro and after a tough beginning, he got a kneebar and a win. He then decided to train a lot to come back there. It a while and finally at OG OG 74: Friday Night Lights Out he got Sinkaram Hamzah into a triangle choke that was impossible to escape.

HEAVYSTAR

HEAVYSTAR (265+W/C, 190+ID), Fight Organization, Los Angeles
Company profile by General Mills

Hey tycooners,

HEAVYSTAR is a new org in Los Angeles with a 190+ ID restriction. There is one BIG weight class, 265+, but weights ranging anywhere from 250 to 300 lbs or so. So we're looking for the big guys from all over the place!

We're sending out contract offers to fighters from anywhere in tycoon world, and if you can help us out in any way just let us know, or create a new 265+ fighter and that could work too! We're really dedicated in creating an org just for big guys in Los Angeles, and we know it's a very particular weight class and ID restriction, but we added the ID restriction to promote new fighters and to make it a more even playing field for all involved. By the way, we'll pay to fly your fighter in if you need it.

We do have a few fighters already signed up and ready to fight, or maybe even need a little more training time, which is totally fine. It's going to take a few weeks to get everything set to go, but we already have a name ready for the first event, and we want managers and their fighters to be excited about the experience, and that's why we're writing this now for the Tycoon Times paper, because HEAVYSTAR wants to succeed, but we do need your help.

Some managers have said they needed a little more training time, which is fine, but we also want to remind you that there is an ID restriction of 190, so all of the other fighters will be limited in their training as well, and our goal is to offer fair fights to all, no matter what weights are, or hype, or otherwise.

Thanks! Just shoot the owner a message and let us know how we can accomodate you. Hopefully we can sign your fighter and have our first event soon!

Frank Mir

Fighter profile of Frank Mir by

Frank Mir spent his entire life around martial arts.  His father owned a kenpo karate school in Las Vegas and competed in the very first UFC.  At age fourteen Frank watched his father get submitted, as did everyone else, by UFC legend Royce Gracie.  This prompted Franks’ father to encourage him to begin training in jiu jitsu.  Frank resisted and they settled on wrestling, and Frank won the state wrestling title in 2005 at age (13).  He also began training in jiu jitsu soon after.

Frank’s first professional fight was on 2012-08-04  Mir won by Submission (RNC) 1st round in 4:19 . Frank then  on 2012-09-08 followed he`s debut victory by also winning by submission in the  1st round 00:55sec Submission (Arm Triangle).Frank told his manager Michael Knight   he has had enough of the small time and he wanted to enter the big stage,so his manger then went on to ask the (BFT) org that his client is ready for the step up in competition so they obliged in signing him to a contract. He debut that night against an opponent that was 6-2 but true to form, Frank went on to win in  spectacular style winning by  Submission (Americana) and also picking up Submission Of The Night  in only 00:47sec, showing once again he is not to be messed with on the ground.

265+ The Sisko (9-2) vs. Keshvad Nain (5-3)

The main event featured a couple QFC vets, when former QFC Hilo champ Sisko took
on QFC drop-out Nain in a 3 round pummeling. Sisko came out hot and heavy, hitting Nain
with everything but the kitchen sink. Nain was cut from the get go, and spent the first
round turtling up like an uncircumcised dick in cold weather. The second round saw much of the
same, as did the third, declaring the winner via Unanimous Decision: The Sisko. This fight earned
100% fight rating.
