GAMMA Gossip Edition#28

Global Association of MMA, Fight Organization, London
Company profile by Mentor Guru Corleone

Another Edition of GAMMA Gossip is underway and we have plenty going on in GAMMA this week!

General news:

- Big news is the relaunch of the Contenders as announced by the management mid week. As Mr Guruland posted, this is the 3rd edition of the Contenders. The feeder org started way back in January 2011 with the first owner being Shaun Skaggs. He ran the org for almost 1 year. There was a short transitional period and in January Master Yoda started the org again and ran it again for 156 events! The GAMMA management then merged the orgs together and started running 2 events since then, however with the roster over 200 fighters, it was decided a feeder org was needed to fit the demand and Rogelio Cottonfloss + Jark Durak are now the new co-owners. Here is the full article by the administration:

- The other news is that our main event sponsor, Crippler's Corner (146) hit #1...............again! Cripplers been ripping through the ranks for ages now and is close to 100 weeks with 500+ in sales! Next week will be their 100th week, which just shows how stable Crippler has been over the past 2 years+.

- GAMMA has also hooked up with its first ever Nutrition partner and here is a short message from the founders:

"I introduce to you Fury Nutrition Inc. based in Montreal. If you want to give your fighters the fighting edge they need then give them the FURY! We turn modest athletes into cage killers! We offer only top quality products and aim to be the best of the best. So take your fighters game to the next level...embrace the FURY! Right now try our amazing energy reduction supplement Fury Energizer 160Q at the amazing price of $140.00 for 14 days supply.  Visit the Fury store and stock up!!!"

Fury is a top 10 company (currently #7) and one of the fastest expanding already. They will be sponsoring our fighters, plus also sponsoring the fight of the night, plus Submission and KO of the night. They also have proof of quality and their prices are very reasonable for Q160 goods.

GAMMA superstars, Simon Williams and Keith Green both signed 5 fight extensions this week, keeping them in the org for the foreseeable future. The GAMMA management is extremely happy to have them around and Mentor had this to comment:

"We are extremely happy, :))"

Lets get moving on to our Event Reviews!

- Reviews

- Kenichi Shirahama v Jt Colossus 2

Jt was suppose to whoop ass, but ended up getting his own ass totally controlled. Kenichi was on top form once again and after dominating Dubbery in his last fight and in this one he got his revenge over Jt with a dominating display on the ground. Jt did have his moments, however Kenichi managed to pull off his gameplan once more with pure GnP over most of the fight. It did take almost the whole fight for Kenichi to end it though with a big elbow.

Kenichi will be waiting to fight the winner of the Williams vs Mendez fight next.

- Keith Green v Klein East (Super fight)

Keith Green is not famous for his KO ability. But he does not care about fame as it took Keith 4:45 of the 3rd round to finish the TTFC MW champion in this super fight. It was actually a totally different class for the GAMMA champion. He was taking his time and dominating every round. In the end he had to just end Klein's misery and send him home early. Keith landed almost 100 significant strikes to just over 10 of East in this fight! Even a guy with the lack of KO power would have ended the fight. This takes GAMMA to 74-27 in super fights against other orgs.

Te honest finding opponents is becoming difficult as most guys duck and hide when given the Keith Green card. Rumors have it he will be fighting the CFC champ next in Montreal, however details are not finalized yet.

- Sponsoring our fight of the night awards is Fury Nutrition Inc. based in Montreal. They will be offering

- Alan Bundy vs Baddusousus Fatherfockerusus (super fight in LV vs Versus)

Alan's return to GAMMA. At 34 this is his last run. After fighting around the world he is back to his home, the place which made him famous. He has been on a poor run recently. Lost 4 of his last 5 and is in decline. He dreams about a shot at the title which not so long ago basically belonged to him. His opponent is veteran Baddusousus Fatherfockerusus (dont ask me where that name came from). Baddus has been on a poor run himself, losing 3 of his last 4. Both fighters are borderline stars and this fight is huge for both. They need a win to get back on track.

I do not really see a favorite here. It is even everywhere. Both fighters are not heavy hitters, with Baddus more of a submission game. Alan probably has the slight experience edge. Both are managed by top level managers, so it should be a close technical battle.

- Raz Matazz (25622) vs Ray Mancine (137950) (Super fight in London vs Versus)

Raz has always been extremely lazy and does not like to travel much. In fact he has never traveled outside of Las Vegas! This is his very first fight he is going anywhere. His only fight outside GAMMA was against Jean Martin Le Corre in the now defunct Nexus organization. He recently made it 51 fights inside GAMMA and decided to go for some sight seeing to London. He will be fighting Ray Mancine of versus.

It is hard to see Raz losing this. At 34y he is still a very rounded fighter, however his KO power has been wearing away over the years. Chin wise he is as solid as anyone in the game. A win for Ray would be massive, even on an aging Raz Matazz, but i doubt that will be happening. Raz should pull this one off. I give him an 80% chance of a win, 50/50 for a decision or KO.

- Vladik Fedotov vs Peter Cabreros (170lbs division)

Peter has been crying for a title shot for ages. If not for Renan's form, he would of had it. He most certainly has deserved it. Vladik has been a top end fighter for GAMMA for ages. Respected and knows his limitations. One of those limitations is that he gets KOed a bit. 3 out of the last 5 to be precise. It usually takes a special talent to pull that off though.

Peter Cabreros is that talent. He KOed Vladik back in April and will look to do the same here. Vladik is off a win against top prospect Jesse Custer and wants to add to that. It wont be easy though and i see more of the same in this fight if Vladik cannot get it to the ground or at least control the fight for a decision win.

- Chris Webster (52145) vs Buster Grimes (57328) (Super fight, in New York vs TTFC)

Buster is traveling this weekend to TTFC to go up against a future GAMMA Hall of Famer, and ex-GAMMA 265lbs champion Chris Webster. Chris is a different guy from the days in GAMMA. He has changed 2 managers, a couple of orgs and the guy he took the title from (Hendo Han) is living somewhere in the Caribbean. Chris is a top act still at 32. He was recently the champion of TTFC, but has since slid down the order somewhat. Buster is a much more fresh 32y old fighter and dispite his recent loss to Simon Williams for the title, he is ready to get back into the title picture.

Chris lacks any real ground game and that usually means one thing against Buster. Actually it can mean a few things, ranging from KO punch (ONI's Johnny Priest remembers that one vividly) to the good old fashioned Flying Knee (Fedor Jankovic being the latest victim). Prediction is another GAMMA victory to the record.

- Ravi Singh vs Frank Sinatra (185lbs division)

Frank did not want this fight. He felt he earned a top level super fight or a rematch with Keith Green. Ravi would like to argue otherwise.

Ravi had a nice TKO win in his first fight against highly respected GAMMA contender Charlie Murphy and is probably looking for the same here. Frank "My Way" Sinatra is a huge name in GAMMA, with recent career defining wins over Raz Matazz, Usain Watts and even a win over current champion Keith Green. His ground game is untouchable and he knows how to win fights through control if needed. There is no doubt who the favorite in this one. Frank has proven his worth in the GAMMA cage, however he will need to be on his game against Ravi. It could be argued that Ravi has the skills to cancel out Frank in his wrestling and ground.

I give Frank the slight advantage, with the possibility of a Ravi upset. I see this being a decision either way.

- Simon Williams vs Tony Mendez (265lbs title fight)

Simon Williams is a stud. He draws fans around the world due to his sheer popularity. He draws fans simply by showing up and unfortunately that is what happened in his last fight against Arnie Ironz. That loss does not take anything away from his aura though and this event will be on PPV mostly due to Simon. That is not to take away anything from Tony Mendez which is a living zombie! Tony is on a 18 fight winning streak. The last time there was a guy on a 18 fight winning streak in GAMMA it was back in the Raz Matazz kids era. He is going into this event with a lot on his shoulder.

Tony could have what is needed to beat Simon. I know nobody is listening, but it is true. His Wrestling and BJJ is probably the best for his weight class, possibly only matched with Kenichi in GAMMA at the moment. Simon rarely sees the ground in a fight though. Mendez always had KO power and despite getting KOed in his career on several occasions, those losses were usually against KO specialists..............................wait a minute! Simon is a KO specialist! I think this will probably go KO for Simon, but it is not impossible to go the other way. Money is on Simon tough.
