PRELIMS

BANTAMWEIGHT: Clint Lomax Jr (7-2) vs Ilafat Urskilz (28-19-2)

WELTERWEIGHT: Noob Saibot (23-7) vs Rokki Kukko (23-13-2)

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT: Tyson Kahn (18-10) vs Eidon Heap (34-21)

FEATHERWEIGHT: Jim Beckett (30-15-2) vs Amitraghat Nagarjun (32-13-1)

HEAVYWEIGHT: Hunter Gatherer (27-12-1) vs Dmitry Zerzhynsky (28-26)

MAIN CARD

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT: Marcello Trudeau (38-22-2) vs Borden Chantry (22-12-3)

To kick off the main card, former Gamma title contender Marcello Trudeau is still around and kicking. At 41 years of age, Trudeau is still fighting and still packs the powerful punch that has guided him his entire career. He gets a very similar type fighter in this one in Borden Chantry. Chantry is a guy who gets in the cage with one goal, to pound the other fighters face in with his fists. Chantry hasn’t been particularly impressive in the promotion and Trudeau is certainly the much more talented fighter, but how much does he left in the tank at his age? That is this fight in a nutshell. Interestingly enough, Trudeau has lost 3 of his last 5 fights, but none have come by way of knockout. If this fight goes the distance, Trudeau should have the edge as the more technical fighter, but he could gas in the later rounds. This win would be a big one for Chantry, regardless if Trudeau is in the twilight of his career right now.

SYNCHRONICITY PREDICTION: TRUDEAU BY DECISION

LIGHTWEIGHT: Akeen Coker (18-5) vs De Bruyne (18-3-1)

In this matchup of highly touted lightweights, Akeen Coker is looking to put an end to a losing streak that has nearly taken him out of the top 20 in the world in this weight class. Coker began his career 18-3 and won titles in a couple different promotions before losing a CEC title fight to the top fighter in the world Jameson Connemara and then a controversial split decision fight to Arlington Beech in Legacy. De Bruyne is a former Legacy champion in his own right and won an impressive decision over Kirk St Lazarus in his Synchronicity debut. We should be in store for a great fight between two great mixed martial artists. Coker is the bigger threat to shoot for takedown and is the more balanced kickboxer, compared to Bruyne but both guys are very well rounded and can pose problems everywhere. Bruyne is the better finisher as he throws with more power, but Coker is one of the best in the world at grinding out tough fights.

SYNCHRONICITY PREDICTION: COKER BY DECISION

MIDDLEWEIGHT: Nikolai Dzhumagaliev (29-13-1) vs Diego Jarszczko (31-14)

It seems like no time ago that Diego Jarszczko was picking up his 8th straight win in the promotion and looking like one of the most dominant champions in organization history, but he’s largely struggled since that run. At 5-6 since then, Diego could certainly be showing signs of aging at 37 years of age. A fighter that largely relied on pure power earlier in his career, Diego has learned to grind out decision wins and has done so in his last 3 victories. Before those decisions wins, he had only managed to win 3 fights by decision in his previous 42 fights. Nikolai Dzhumagaliev is a guy who should be in his prime at 31 years of age, but he has largely struggled to string wins together and has no title shot to show for in his 20 fights inside the MFN promotion. Known as essentially just a boxer, Nikolai rarely leans on anything other than his punches to pick up wins. This is yet another fight where the older fighter is the more varied fighter and should be able to pick up a win by decision.

SYNCHRONICITY PREDICTION: JARSZCZKO BY DECISION

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT: Jimmy Dias Jimenez (21-11-1) vs Joey Kocur (22-10-1)

In a very interesting selection for a co-main event, Jimmy Dias Jimenez is looking to build on his 3 fight winning streak in Synchronicity as he takes on fellow bruising striker Joey Kocur. Kocur had won his first two fights in the promotion before dropping a majority decision in his last fight to Grigol Pandahammer. This fight is sure to produce fireworks, but the question is where they will occur. If it happens in the clinch, we’ll see the elbows of Jimenez against the punches of Kocur. At range we’d most likely see Jimenez winging power punches and Kocur mixing in more leg kicks. This fight is pivotal for both guys, but this is definitely Jimenez’s biggest fight to date in Synchronicity. Outside of this streak, Jimenez had failed to win back-to-back fights in four straight attempts. It’s hard to see him challenging for the title regardless of the outcome of this fight, but it could certainly get him a fight against one of the best the division has to offer.

SYNCHRONICITY PREDICTION: KOCUR BY TKO

SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT: Vikramditya Singh Ratore (42-19) vs Gun Slinga (49-25)

In a rematch of their fight not long ago in the Legacy promotion, Vikramditya Singh Ratore and Gun Slinga are back at it in the super heavyweight division. Ratore won the first fight with a vicious straight right hand and subsequent hammer fists on the ground, picking up the finish inside of 90 seconds. Ratore would go on to lose his next fight to the top super heavyweight in the world, Randolph Turpin. Ratore is currently ranked #2 while Slinga checks in at #4. Slinga has sandwiched 5 wins around that loss to Ratore, including his debut in the Synchronicity promotion against Phillip Dyson who’s a top 10 fighter himself. Slinga should be looking to get this fight into the clinch and use his dirty boxing, but Ratore is a vicious boxer himself and is always a threat to sneak takedowns into the mix. After the first fight, most people may not be giving Gun Slinga a shot in this fight, but anything can happen here.
