League of Madness week 4 recap

with Host Captain Chaos

"Well Madness Fans you got to give Mister Madness some credit he nailed it with this card, by far the most competitive fights. The final 8 Welterweights gave it there all last night in Vegas, but only 4 would advance to the Quarter finals. I was on hand for the show, and even though all the drunk hippies at Paddy O'Malleys where getting on my damn nerves, i thoroughly enjoyed the event. Lets take a look at the action!"

Mike Nara def Cheeto Bean KO(Punch) Round 2 3:54

With Team Marky still looking to advance there first fighter it was all on the shoulders of there top pick Mike Nara. Standing across the cage was Cheeto Bean who was looking to keep his team undefeated. This fight ended up being pretty one sided as Bean struggled to get any offense off, and toward the end of round 1 found himself in all kinds of trouble as the Fin scored two quick Knockdowns. Round 2 starts with more of the same as Mike Nara continues to land with punches, his body shots where nearly perfect as he landed 26 out of 27 of them. The end came just before the 4 minute mark as Bean was having some vision problems, Nara unloads a thunderous hook that sends Cheeto crumbling to the floor.

Coronnie James Dio def Javier Tapia TKO(Strikes) Round 2 3:29

Next up are two fun loving South Americans hit the cage in search of a Quarter final bid for themselves. Tapia got caught with a hook seconds into the fight that opens a cut, so he wisely shoots for a takedown with success. The first round stayed on the ground as the two grapplers tried various submission attempts to no success. Javier looked to have the upper hand as the two fighters head to there corners to end round 1. Round two starts and it was exoected that Javier would look for the takedown again,  but Dio quickly shut down his shot early which lead to Tapia bringing the fight to the clinch. From the clinch Coronnie took control of the fight as the aggressor while Javier continued to struggle with his Takedown attempts from the clinch. Tapia finally abandons the clinch which lead to the bitter end for the Argentinian as "Unholly" begins to land strikes at will. The last straw was a big right hand from Coronnie that sends Tapia tumbling to the canvas, a barrage of strikes followed as Coronnie forces the ref to hault the contest.

Madness Fighter def David Eagle TKO(Strikes) Round 3 1:57

The third bout of the evening pitted two strikers in a clash of styles as heavy handed Boxer/wrestler David Eagle met Muay Thai specialist Madness Fighter. Round 1 was a bit of a stale mate but eagle did what he needed, to take round 1 with his Pulling guard tactics and overall control. Round 2 though Madness began to catch on to David's relentless guard pulls and had none of it, as he starts to turn up the offense in the clinch. Eagle does get the fight to the ground late in round 2 but it was not enough as Fighter takes the second round. Now all tied up we head into the final round! Eagle knows he needs to pick up the pass and starts firing wild shots, there just not landing. Madness fighter threw a sloppy right hand that his foe did not see coming and sends him to a rocked state. From there Madness fighter takes to the clinch and his wobbly opponent is all but done at this point. Now leaned up against the cage, Fighter pours it on dropping David Eagle to his knees and forcing the stoppage.

Julius Lew def Justin Forfun Unanimous Decision

Are final fight of the card and the last opening round bout of the season saw Team Hardman welterweight Julius Lew face off with Team Action's Justin Forfun. Julius showed his dominance in this fight against a game opponent, as he played the role of the aggressor for the majority of the 15 minutes. While Justin was just not having any fun out there as he struggled to land anything including his Takedown attempts. He did manage one takedown in round 2 but the fight was quickly brought back to the feet. The highlight of the contest came at the 3 minute mark of the final round when Lew landed a jab that had Justin seeing stars for a moment. It was not the best performance of the tourney but give both fighters credit for giving there all. Julius took the fight 30-27 on all three scorecards, with his constant pressure. As for Justin, tough night in the office as he made it 0-4 for team Action but he showed he has the heart of a lion indeed.

"There ya have it boys and girls! Are Quarter Final fights are now locked in, and the coaches choice of Middleweights will also be making there long awaited Madness debuts in April along with the Welterweights. This gonna be a good tournament. Now you better check it out and don't forget about my World Famous fried chicken either"
