Griffin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Feel Good Inc. Chris Griffin told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Griffin digs a good hook to Hawkins's body.
Hawkins takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Andrew Hawkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hawkins moves in looking to clinch but Griffin pushes him off.
Griffin connects with a body shot.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Griffin cracks Hawkins with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Griffin has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Hawkins to stand back up!

No joy there for Griffin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hawkins walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Hawkins loses concentration momentarily and Griffin pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Hawkins crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Griffin finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.

Smalls feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
