Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Jones looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Gunner passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gunner content to control rather than advance.
Gunner uses his free foot to push down on Jones's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jones.

Gunner has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jones's face.

Gunner seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jones for as long as he can get away with.
Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gunner postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Jones in real trouble here! The ref calls for Jones to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
