2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Matt Saunders! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Konstantin Menshow and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ovechkin lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Matt Saunders has been cut. Saunders gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Saunders escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ovechkin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Saunders keeping moving, preventing Ovechkin from controlling successfully. Ovechkin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Saunders on the ground. Saunders looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Saunders is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ovechkin doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Saunders. Ovechkin tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Saunders is trying to work for a kimura but Ovechkin is defending well.

Ronin slips out almost immediately though and dives into Vojvodin's guard. Ronin advances to half guard. It looks like Ronin is going to stand back up.

He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Vojvodin turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Ronin off and cradles Vojvodin's limp body as Ronin celebrates with his corner.

Silverman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Silverman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Chikatilo seems to be looking for submissions.

Silverman is looking to control Chikatilo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Silverman avoid being mounted? Chikatilo stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Silverman to get to his feet. Silverman takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Peter Griffin! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Illya Tyunina and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slater wants to clinch up but Griffin keeps it at a distance. Griffin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Griffin is looking to clinch but Slater is avoiding it.
Griffin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Slater closes the distance and clinches. Slater landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Slater unloads a knee to the mid-section. Griffin lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Slater breaks the clinch.
Slater tries to clinch but fails miserably and Griffin counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Griffin tries to pull guard but Slater won't allow it.
