The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Newton blocks a head kick by Carbone.
A head kick misses from Carbone. Carbone has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Pedro Carbone has been cut. Carbone throws a quick inside leg kick. Carbone throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Newton counters with a left and a right... And another left! Carbone is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stenemo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Karlsen swivels and escapes. Stenemo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Karlsen but Karlsen pushes him off and we're back to square one. Karlsen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Karlsen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Stenemo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Karlsen is fending him off so far but Stenemo persists. Nope, Karlsen circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kim Stenemo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Karlsen scores with a takedown into Stenemo's guard. Karlsen tries to free his leg and advance position but Stenemo is retaining full guard. Karlsen advances position into side control! Stenemo managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Karlsen.
Stenemo struggling a bit here. Karlsen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Stenemo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Stenemo takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Stenemo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Karlsen on the ground. Stenemo gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Karlsen thows a huge punch but Stenemo dodges it nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Karlsen connects with a nice short shot to Stenemo's temple. Stenemo is looking to control Karlsen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Stenemo avoid being mounted? Karlsen passes the guard and advances to mount! Stenemo is breathing heavily. Karlsen has hold of Stenemo's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Stenemo manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Karlsen moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Stenemo has worked his arm free - good work by Stenemo!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Karlsen is pressing down on Stenemo's thigh, looking to free his foot. Stenemo is holding on for now. Karlsen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Karlsen is working for a kimura but Stenemo is defending it quite comfortably.
Karlsen tries to pass the half guard into mount. Stenemo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Karlsen is tying to control. Stenemo wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Stenemo trying to control from the bottom.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hardwick closes this distance looking for a takedown but Alexander circles away. Alexander closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alexander stands up and beckons Hardwick to his feet. Hardwick throws a wild body kick that Alexander sees coming a mile off. Hardwick looks gassed! Alexander gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Alexander drags the fight down to the ground.

Alexander ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Alexander no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Hardwick wants to control from the top but Alexander keeps moving. Hardwick is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Alexander is looking for a triangle but Hardwick pushes his legs off easily.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Danny de Laet! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! de Laet shoots in for a takedown but Penn shows good takedown defense. Penn doesn't manage to clinch there - de Laet circles away.
Penn darts in and clinches de Laet up against the cage. Penn looking for a takedown. Penn missing with knees to the body.

de Laet lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Penn backwards. Penn throws a knee to the head but misses.

de Laet is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Penn pulls him back up using the underhooks. Penn lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

de Laet tries to clinch but Penn moves out of range. de Laet feints and as Penn raises his hands in defense, de Laet changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. de Laet distracts Penn with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. de Laet throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Penn works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Penn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Penn is breathing heavily. de Laet avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Penn is keeping the position for now. de Laet thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Penn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but de Laet can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Penn throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Penn is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MacGregor looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Fritz keeping moving, preventing MacGregor from controlling successfully. MacGregor trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fritz is looking for a triangle but MacGregor pushes his legs off easily.

MacGregor slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. MacGregor content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. MacGregor thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. MacGregor is looking to take a break and control but Fritz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Fritz manages to work his way to half guard, despite MacGregor's best efforts. Fritz is breathing heavily. Fritz is not content to let MacGregor control the position. MacGregor perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Fritz looking for submissions off his back. MacGregor is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fritz defends it well.
