Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gerrard jabs at Holic's body.
Gerrard throws a right and a left that Holic avoids nicely.
Gerrard fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Holic throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Gerrard as Holic shoots in.
Gerrard will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gerrard looks to land a combination but Holic avoids it well.
Gerrard looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Holic shoots for a takedown but Gerrard saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Gerrard throws a right hand that Holic ducks under and follows up with a left that Holic also avoids with ease.
Gerrard lands a body shot.
Good shot there by Gerrard.
Gerrard throws a series of punches but Holic avoids them all with ease.
Gerrard punishes Holic's body with a nice straight punch.

Holic feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Gerrard throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Gerrard wants to stand and escape but Holic is having none of it.

Holic wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gerrard, who protects the arm well.

Holic bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gerrard's guard.

Holic has hold of Gerrard's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gerrard manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Holic goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Gerrard turns into him and now he's in Holic's guard.
Gerrard is in close to Holic's body, working some short punches and elbows.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Gerrard is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Holic has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Gerrard is looking to defend but Holic has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Gerrard! Holic pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Gerrard taps out and this one is all over!

Even tries to clinch but Tenerchia moves out of range.
Tenerchia tries to clinch up but Even circles away and keeps his distance.

Tenerchia closes the distance and clinches.
Even wants to break the clinch but can't.
Tenerchia is pressed up against the cage. Even has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Tenerchia down to the mat. Tenerchia avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Undercard bout

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Ironmaiden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alfredo Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eddie Ironmaiden had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.7lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The key to victory for Eddie Ironmaiden has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

St Georges lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
St Georges throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from St Georges, right into the meat.
Huerta shoots in but no luck this time.
St Georges misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Huerta.
Pierre St Georges seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
St Georges throws a hook to the side of Huerta's head but Huerta sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
St Georges throws a nice looking combination but Huerta bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
St Georges looks for the body kick but Huerta saw that one coming.
