The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daigo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Mawson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Daigo swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mawson won't allow Daigo to get back to his feet. Mawson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Daigo is keeping the position for now. Daigo looking to control.
Mawson wants to pass the guard but Daigo is keeping the position. Mawson passes Daigo's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Mawson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Mawson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Daigo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mawson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mawson is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Daigo! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Daigo is looking to improve his position but Mawson isn't that keen on the idea. Mawson looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Mawson is breathing heavily. Mawson looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Mawson avoids the attempt from Daigo to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Daigo is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Mawson is staying active. Daigo is looking to improve his position but Mawson isn't that keen on the idea. Mawson looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Daigo avoids a series of strikes thrown by Mawson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You get the feeling that Daigo really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Mawson goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Daigo is on top in guard.
Daigo wants to control from the top but Mawson keeps moving. Mawson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Daigo stacks Mawson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Daigo! Daigo trying to control the action but Mawson is working from the bottom. Mawson is looking to reverse the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mawson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Mawson is looking for a sweep. Daigo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Daigo trying to control from half guard but Mawson is working away. Mawson is pressing down on Daigo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mawson looking for a sweep. Not yet Mawson, not yet. Mawson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Daigo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Daigo wants to stand and escape but instead Mawson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Mawson dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Mawson pulls back and lands a big elbow that stuns Daigo! Mawson unloads with more strikes and Daigo sinks to his knees! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dube takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
It looks like George Martinson has been cut. Dube throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Martinson is breathing heavily. Dube throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Dube blocks a head kick by Martinson.
Nice shot lands for Dube. Martinson fails in his attempt to clinch. Decent striking displayed by Dube there. Dube throws a leg kick but Martinson sees it coming and moves out of range. Martinson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Dube sends Martinson crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Dube is motioning to the referee to let Martinson up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Martinson is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Dube lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Martinson falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Domino drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. WhupAss is trying to keep Domino in close.
Domino thows a big elbow that misses. Domino won't allow WhupAss to sweep him here. WhupAss keeping moving, preventing Domino from controlling successfully. WhupAss working for a triangle but Domino defends it easily.
WhupAss tries to land a sweep but no joy. Domino stands and throws WhupAss's legs to the side, diving into side control. WhupAss gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. WhupAss wants to get back to full guard. Domino thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. WhupAss is pressing down on Domino's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. WhupAss looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kiviluola shoots in but no luck this time. A chopping leg kick lands by Black Cat. Black Cat fails in his attempt to clinch. Black Cat throws a head kick that half lands.
Kiviluola is rocked! Black Cat wants to clinch up but Kiviluola keeps it at a distance. Kiviluola is still on wobbly legs! Can Black Cat finish him? Black Cat tries to clinch but Kiviluola moves out of range. Kiviluola seems to have recovered his senses. A combination from Black Cat does no damage. Black Cat uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kiviluola.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Black Cat is looking to clinch. Black Cat throws a head kick that misses. Kiviluola ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Black Cat moves away. Kiviluola shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Black Cat as he avoids it easily. Billy Black Cat is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kiviluola looks gassed! Kiviluola sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Black Cat wants to clinch but Kiviluola slips to the side enabling Kiviluola to counter with a crisp jab. Black Cat is looking to clinch but Kiviluola is avoiding it.

Black Cat looks to land a combination but Kiviluola avoids it well. Black Cat will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
No luck for Kiviluola with that takedown attempt. Billy Black Cat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marko Kiviluola. Black Cat tries to clinch but Kiviluola moves out of range. Black Cat fails in his attempt to clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kiviluola slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Black Cat wants to get back to his feet but Kiviluola passes into half guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Olais wants to clinch up but FkYa keeps it at a distance. Olais shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has FkYa pinned against the cage. FkYa gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Olais misses with a low kick.
Olais drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Olais has knee on belly and moves into mount. FkYa wants to hold on but Olais pushes him away. Olais is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But FkYa has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from FkYa! Olais is looking for a triangle but FkYa pushes his legs off easily.
Olais bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in FkYa's guard. Olais looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Olais is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! FkYa is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! FkYa has escaped and now he's on top!
That's one minute gone in the round. Olais tries to land a sweep but no joy. FkYa is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Olais looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Olais is breathing heavily. FkYa stands and throws Olais's legs to the side, diving into side control. Olais is letting FkYa control him for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. FkYa wants to control but Olais is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Olais tries to improve position but can't. FkYa has an Americana. Olais didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! FkYa is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if FkYa hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Or Yeger! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Junie Silva! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva misses with a two punch combination.
Silva misses with a low kick as Yeger jumps back. Yeger has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Yeger has Silva up against the cage in a clinch.
Silva breaks the clinch.
Yeger instigates a clinch. Silva throws a knee to the head but misses.
Silva breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Yeger thows a leg kick but Silva checks it and Silva counters with a series of strikes. Yeger will be more careful next time no doubt. Yeger takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. An inside leg kick from Silva misses. Silva catches Yeger napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Yeger to the canvas!
Yeger is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Silva is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Oh Yeger is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Silva won't allow Yeger to sweep him here. Yeger looking for a guillotine here but Silva defends easily.
Yeger seems to have got his legs back now. Yeger is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yeger is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Silva has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Yeger is proving hard to escape from. Yeger has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Silva is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Yeger. Silva stands up and beckons Yeger to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jab by Silva. Silva throws a right hand that Yeger ducks under and follows up with a left that Yeger also avoids with ease. An inside leg kick lands from Silva. Yeger has his takedown stuffed and Silva counters with a leg kick. Yeger is breathing heavily. Silva lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Silva tries to bum rush Yeger with a series of wild strikes but Yeger uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Yeger with a poor takedown and Silva counters with a series of strikes. Yeger will be more careful next time no doubt. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Silva throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Yeger colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Silva as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Yeger is left battered and dazed whilst Silva and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Junie Silva! Junie Silva is the new middleweight champion!
