Willwerth drops Phillips with a beautiful combination! Phillips stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Willwerth is looking for the KO!

Wiltsie kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Mein Herz Brennt. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Wiltsie is looking to land body kicks. Wiltsie throws a wild combination but nothing lands. McScared uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wiltsie. Scaredy McScared seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wiltsie throws a series of punches but McScared moves out of range.
Wiltsie looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. McScared has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wiltsie is working away from the top position though. Wiltsie thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McScared's head.
McScared is defending against the submission attempts here by Wiltsie.
Wiltsie takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wiltsie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McScared does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
McScared looking for submissions off his back. McScared wants to improve his position but Wiltsie is controlling well.

and Wiltsie counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in McScared's guard now. Wiltsie scoring with punches to the head and body. Wiltsie wants to control from the top but McScared keeps moving. Wiltsie slips nicely into half guard. Wiltsie looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Wiltsie throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. McScared is refusing to be controlled, as Wiltsie sits in half guard.

Wiltsie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McScared is just riding it out for now. Wiltsie eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. McScared is pressing down on Wiltsie's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Wiltsie is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! McScared is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! McScared has escaped and now he's on top! Wiltsie throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

McScared is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. McScared wants to control from the top but Wiltsie keeps moving.
Wiltsie pushes McScared off and scrambles back to his feet.
McScared tries to clinch but fails miserably and Wiltsie counters with a nice uppercut. McScared has his takedown stuffed and Wiltsie counters with a nice uppercut. McScared looks gassed! McScared misses with a takedown and Wiltsie counters with a one-two to the body.

A decent looking cross lands there for Ovechkin. Benn lands an overhand right. Ovechkin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Benn moves away. Benn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ovechkin as he jumps to the side. Ovechkin lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Benn backs up against the cage.

With the fighters up against the cage, Long throws an elbow but misses. Long tries to land knees in the clinch but Kirppu avoids the damage to the body. The is referee keeping an eye on Kirppu - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Kirppu tries to work over Long's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. A head punch blocked on the inside by Long. Long lands a hook that snaps the head of Kirppu backwards.

Long throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Long blocks a body shot from Kirppu. Kirppu trying to stall but Long improves his position.
Long turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Kirppu is trying to improve his position. Kirppu gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Well, if Long is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Kirppu is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Long's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Long's back! Long breaks Kirppu's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kirppu keeping moving, preventing Long from controlling successfully. Kirppu tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Long drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kirppu dives on top into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mika Kirppu will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Long tries to score with a low kick but Kirppu moves his leg out of the way. Kirppu tries to clinch there but Long circles away.
Kirppu swats away the attempt to clinch by Long. Long throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Long attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Kirppu misses with a double jab.
Steve Long is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Long misses with a jab, cross combination.
Long is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kirppu. Long lands with a nice combination. Kirppu backs away looking to recover. Steve Long seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Long throws a low kick, looking for Kirppu's leg but Kirppu calmly moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kirppu moves out of range as Long strikes. Long finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Good work by Kirppu as he checks the leg kick. Long throws a leg kick but Kirppu sees it coming and checks it nicely.

enabling Boyce to counter with a crisp jab. Tommy Boyce seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boyce throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

and Boyce cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Oh Bassey is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Boyce cracks Bassey with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Bassey tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Boyce pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Bassey is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Gracie fails to land the takedown. Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Howard as he jumps to the side. Blake Howard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grind Em Gracie.

Gracie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Howard is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gracie, into his guard. Gracie manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Howard gets back to half guard. Howard manages to get to full guard.

Greene tries to sprawl out of it but Gauthier keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Greene manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Greene wants to land a leg kick but Gauthier is out of range.
Greene shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Greene was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Gauthier tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Greene is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Greene extends the arm and Gauthier is forced to tap!

Bogan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. You can see the frustration on Mussolini's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Francois Grandmasion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A combination from Grandmasion does no damage. Lukens throws a chopping leg kick but Grandmasion manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Lukens tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Grandmasion throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
