7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bubba Kayo! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kayo throws a right and a left that Kanehara avoids nicely. Kanehara drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kayo is looking for a sweep. Kayo gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Kanehara punishing his opponent with strikes. Kanehara working away from the top, dropping strikes. Kayo can't escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kayo tries to hold on but Kanehara pushes him away. Kanehara is in the full mount, landing strikes. Kayo is looking to get to half guard. Kanehara lands a nice shot to the head. Kanehara wants to control the pace but Kayo is squirming around nicely. Kanehara landing strikes, looking to finish!

Dat will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Taka Gominori has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Snatch Dat. Gominori throws a sloppy head kick and Dat moves out of range easily. Gominori misses with a two punch combination.

Gominori wants to get up but he can't break Dat's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Dat is trying to keep Gominori in close.
Despite being in the dominant position, Snatch Dat just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dat misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Gominori lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Gominori. Gominori swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gominori looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Dat throws a nice looking combination but Gominori bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Dat misses with a jab, cross combination.

That was a close second round but I would say that Taka Gominori will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Johnson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Um throws a strike aimed at the side of Johnson's head but Johnson avoids it well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson trying to control but Um flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Johnson wants to escape the position.
Um controls the position. Um throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Um has good solid back control here. Um lands strikes to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Um controls the position. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rush throws a leg kick but Jaakonpoika moved away. Jaakonpoika tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rush swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jaakonpoika fails in his attempt to clinch. Jaakonpoika fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jaakonpoika dodges the punch combination from Rush.
Rush keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jaakonpoika shoots in and drives through. Rush sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lalli Jaakonpoika. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jaakonpoika shoots in for a double leg but Rush sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rush keeps the fight on the outside. Rush lands a with a good body shot. Lalli Jaakonpoika seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jaakonpoika looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Rush lands a really nice looking cross but Jaakonpoika seems unphased.

Rush stuffs the takedown. Rush drops Jaakonpoika with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Jaakonpoika looks back up at him and smiles so Rush waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Rush throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Jaakonpoika crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

Dali looks to land a left hand but Turska moved out of range nicely. Turska bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Dali is looking for a sweep. Dali is working hard here to advance position. A lull in the action here as Turska stalls from top position. Turska working the head with strikes. Turska looks up at the clock and then as Dali takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Turska smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Turska tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Turska has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Turska tries to score with some ground and pound. Dali controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goodfellow fails to land with a series of punches.
Khan throws a hook but Goodfellow avoids it easily. Goodfellow bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Khan bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Goodfellow's head backwards.
It looks like Andrew Goodfellow has been cut. Khan throws a body punch but Goodfellow moves out of range. Khan is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Goodfellow. Khan drops Goodfellow with a left and a right! Oh, Goodfellow is hurt - Khan dives into side control looking to finish!
Goodfellow is rocked! Khan is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Goodfellow knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Goodfellow is still in real trouble! Can Khan finish him? The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mann walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. McCold throws a right and a left that Mann avoids nicely. Mann shoots in for a takedown but McCold shows good takedown defense. McCold stuffs the takedown attempt from Mann. Mann gets slowly back to his feet. A cross from McCold lands. Mann looking for a takedown here - he's got it. McCold bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mann's guard. Mann might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Mann doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
McCold throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mann works some decent striking defense from the bottom. McCold is sitting in close to Mann's body. Mann has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! McCold is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, McCold is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Mann.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzalez defending well as Sol loads up on a big left hand. Gonzalez throws out a loose jab but Sol uses good head movement to avoid it. Gonzalez lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Gonzalez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Sol blocks a low kick nicely. Sol looks to throw the jab but Gonzalez is out of range. Gonzalez stuffs the takedown. Gonzalez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Sol lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Sol pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gonzalez is keeping the position for now. Sol trying to control the position from guard on top but Gonzalez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sol postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gonzalez is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sol, into his guard. Sol isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Gonzalez stacks Sol on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Gonzalez! Sol might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Sol manages to work his way to half guard, despite Gonzalez's best efforts.

Gonzalez decides to stand and escape the position. Sol takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sol is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A big right from Gonzalez misses. Sol shoots in but Gonzalez avoids the takedown attempt easily. Gonzalez lands a really nice looking cross but Sol seems unphased.

Sol scores with a takedown into Gonzalez's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gonzalez avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sol wants to pass the guard but Gonzalez is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fight stays on the outside here - Sol looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Sol moves out of range of the strikes. A low kick from Sol misses and Gonzalez counters with a leg kick. Sol fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Sol takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Gonzalez looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gonzalez drops his shoulder and cracks Sol with a huge uppercut! Sol goes down! Can Gonzalez finish him?
Sol is rocked! Gonzalez content to stall in guard here. Oh Sol is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Sol preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Sol seems to have got his legs back now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sol controls Gonzalez momentarily but Gonzalez frees himself.

Gonzalez is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sol Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Gonzalez's back instead. Sol is trying to stick to Gonzalez's back but Gonzalez is turning into Sol. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Sol's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Gonzalez. Sol utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sol looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Gonzalez connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Sol takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Sol doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Gonzalez keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
