Thompson has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Penn looking for the choke from the back. Penn looking for the RNC. Penn scoring with big shots to the body. Thompson is looking for a way out. A despairing look towards the ref and the official steps in to stop the fight. Thompson was obviously done but didn't want to tap out.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). DJ Penn!
