Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Dengel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Burnquist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dengel's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Sweat Loaf. Bob Burnquist told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Burnquist.

A head kick lands from Burnquist that sends Dengel to the canvas. Dengel tries to scramble back to his feet but Burnquist brings him back down into side control.

It looks like Paul Dengel has been cut.
Burnquist just content to control the position.
Dengel tries to escape but Burnquist is in control.
Dengel dodges the ground and pound from Burnquist.

Burnquist decides to stand up, so the ref orders Dengel to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Burnquist feints a jab and as Dengel dips his head, Burnquist unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Dengel right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Dengel falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Burnquist smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Flisa is trying to drag Kolacic to the mat but Kolacic just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Hearns feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Esteves sprawling to the canvas! Esteves rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Hearns finish him?!

Hearns lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Esteves is looking to close the distance but Hearns sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Esteves crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Esteves is OK because that was naaaaaasty!

Beamer throws a hook to the side of Putin's head but Putin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Jim Beamer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Beamer throws a right and a left that Putin avoids nicely.

Beamer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Beamer cracks Putin with an uppercut from hell and Putin crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Beamer's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nikolai Putin.

Biggums lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Veshi can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Biggums and Veshi drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Biggums.
