The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Terror closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Terror creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Vidal sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Terror wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vidal keeps working.

Vidal tries to improve position but can't.
Vidal is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

It looks like Tim Terror has been cut.

Rashid rushes Matielli and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Matielli looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Rashid turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Rashid manages to end up in side control.

Rashid decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rashid has an Americana. Matielli didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Rashid is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Rashid hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Leon throws a series of punches but the warrior avoids them all with ease.
Leon throws a nice looking combination but the warrior bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Leon stuffs the takedown attempt from the warrior. the warrior gets slowly back to his feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

No joy there for Leon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Leon cracks the warrior with an uppercut from hell and the warrior crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Leon's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Machida jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Almeida walks away with a smile on his face. Machida gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Almeida winds up and cracks Machida with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
