The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ernieson lands a jab to Taylor's midsection. Ernieson lands with a shot to the body. Bert Ernieson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ernieson with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Taylor takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Ernieson lands with an uppercut that bounces Taylor off the cage and back into rage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ernieson closes the distance and clinches. Ernieson manages to break the clinch.

Gulag tries to avoid it but Cosby manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gulag to the ground. Gulag escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Gulag fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cosby. Cosby misses with a takedown attempt - Gulag sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Gulag lands with a right hand. Gulag throws a head kick but Cosby moves out of range.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good standup being displayed there by Franklin as he connects with a hook.
It looks like Sergio Aniouz has been cut. Sergio Aniouz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Aniouz gets caught flat footed, as Franklin shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Franklin wants to pass the guard but Aniouz is keeping the position. Aniouz tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ferraro tries to bum rush Vasquel with a series of wild strikes but Vasquel uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Vasquel drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Vasquel tries to free his leg and advance position but Ferraro is retaining full guard. Vasquel decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Ferraro has managed to clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Vasquel wants a takedown.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ferraro slips under a jab. Ferraro shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vasquel's guard. Vasquel wants to sweep but no luck. Ferraro stands and steps away. Vasquel gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Vasquel misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Vasquel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ferraro's waist but Ferraro gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vasquel off to one side. Ferraro fails with a takedown attempt from distance. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Vasquel gets a takedown into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Vasquel wants to work for an arm triangle but Ferraro is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
