Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jersey Squirrel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Owen Schmitt! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A leg kick checked by Squirrel. A chopping leg kick lands by Squirrel. Squirrel ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Schmitt misses with a series of wild punches.
Squirrel slips a jab from Schmitt. A punch lands to the side of Schmitt 's head but he takes it in his stride. Schmitt fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Schmitt misses with the combination.
Schmitt is looking to land body kicks. A jab from Schmitt misses. Schmitt looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. An inside leg kick lands from Squirrel. Squirrel throws a body punch but Schmitt moves out of range. Squirrel throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Schmitt's head. Schmitt tries for a takedown but Squirrel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Jersey Squirrel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Owen Schmitt. Schmitt shoots in for a double leg but Squirrel sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Schmitt looks gassed! Squirrel moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schmitt takes a shot right to the bread basket. Squirrel scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Nice uppercut lands for Squirrel. That snapped Schmitt's head back.
A nice combination there by Squirrel.
Jab by Squirrel. Squirrel lands a high kick!
Squirrel connects with a body shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Squirrel rushes Schmitt with punches - Schmitt moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Schmitt goes down! Squirrel follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! II darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Smith is looking to improve his position.
II controlling the pace. Smith looks like he's trying to stand up.
It looks like II is going to stand back up.
II is thwarting Smith's attempts to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith is staying active underneath II, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Smith is looking to escape.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. II closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. A lull in the action here. I looks like II might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Smith tries to improve position but can't. II controlling the position from side mount. II trying to control the action but Smith is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. II stands up and beckons Smith to his feet. II throws a head kick that half lands.
Smith looks to land a combination but II avoids it well. II lands a nice shot to the body.
Smith is breathing heavily. Smith gets the takedown into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. II is trying to control Smith's posture but Smith avoids it. II is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Smith is controlling him well. Smith is looking to take a break and control but II is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. II tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Smith easily slips into full mount! II is trying to escape the mount.
II tries to hold on but Smith pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. II is trying desperately to improve position. II tries to hold on but Smith postures up. II working to try and regain half guard.
Smith tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. II is looking to improve his position but Smith isn't that keen on the idea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Caesar II dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Smith with a lazy takedown attempt and II counters with a nice double leg into half guard. II sitting and controlling from the half guard. II moves into full mount! Smith won't be happy about that! Smith looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! II lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. II is not going to allow Smith to sit and survive in this position. II lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Smith.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. II keeps control of the position easily here as Smith tries to buck him off.

Smith is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Smith can't escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Smith trying to control the hands but II won't let him. II keeps control of the position as Smith tries to break free.

Despite being in the dominant position, Caesar II just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. II swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Smith counters with a nice double leg into half guard. II is trying to control but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. II manages to get to full guard.
Smith is fighting to break II's control of his arms but II is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. II can't keep his opponent in guard - Smith advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Smith is keen to just control but II is a slippery customer. II slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. II has his hands on Smith's head, controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. II is trying to keep Smith in close.
II utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as II holds on and takes a little breather. Caesar II has got the better of the ground game so far. II striking from his own guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Caesar II showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
II closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. II seems to be working for a kimura but Smith defends the submission attempt. II wants to pass the guard but Smith is defending well. Well, if II is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Smith has one foot on II's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. II tries to clinch up.
That's one minute gone in the round. II feints and as Smith raises his hands in defense, II changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. II trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Smith preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Smith looking for a sweep. Not yet Smith, not yet. II looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Smith wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and II is now in half guard. II looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. II passes into side control, despite Smith's attempt to control the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's three minutes gone in the round. II decides to stand back up. II steps back and let's Smith get back to his feet. Caesar II seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. II shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than II was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Smith is trying to reverse the position but instead II has taken his back - oops! Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards II.
II is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Smith has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. II controlling the position well here. Smith rolled but II kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Deke Smith has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! II slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
And that's the end of the fight! Caesar II comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well II has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

It looks like Javier Lopez has been cut. Flanery decides to stand back up. Flanery steps back and let's Lopez get back to his feet. Flanery shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Flanery feints and as Lopez raises his hands in defense, Flanery changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Flanery trying to control but Lopez is working from the bottom. Lopez is pulling down on Flanery's head to control his posture. Lopez looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Flanery puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Flanery looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Lopez moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Flanery is breathing heavily. Flanery wants to stand but Lopez is controlling his posture from full guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Flanery tries to clinch but fails miserably and Flanery takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Lopez circles away from the clinch attempt and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Lopez throws a quick inside leg kick. Flanery moves forwards but Lopez connects with a nice, crisp jab. Lopez fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Flanery. A chopping leg kick lands by Lopez. Flanery moves in looking to clinch but Lopez pushes him off. Flanery works over Lopez's head and body with a nice combination. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Flanery walks into a jab. Lopez throws a nice head kick!
Lopez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Flanery rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lopez moves out of range and avoids them all easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Flanery gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Lopez counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lopez. Lopez controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Lopez wants to control from the top but Flanery keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flanery wants to sweep here but Lopez controlling him for the moment. Flanery keeping moving, preventing Lopez from controlling successfully. Lopez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lopez is pushing down on Flanery's leg trying to pass to half guard. Flanery is fighting to maintain full guard but Lopez has managed to sneak the leg through. Lopez is looking to take a break and control but Flanery is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Flanery tries to get to full guard but Lopez has control of the leg.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Lopez throws a head kick that Flanery semi-blocks.
Flanery shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Lopez counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lopez. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Flanery is fighting it off but Lopez persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Flanery's guard against the ropes. Lopez trying to control but Flanery is working from the bottom. Lopez trying to move into half guard but instead Flanery has managed to sweep! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lopez looking for a guillotine here but Flanery defends easily.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lupin shoots in for a double leg but Gilmore sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Gilmore tests Lupin's chin there with a solid looking shot. Lupin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gilmore's waist but Gilmore gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lupin off to one side. No luck for Lupin with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Muggle Lupin. That's going to take a lot out of him. A punch lands to the side of Lupin 's head but he takes it in his stride. Gilmore throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lupin on the side of the head. Gilmore moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Muggle Lupin has been cut. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gilmore connects with a nice cross there... Lupin is looking wobbly and Gilmore recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Lupin to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Gilmore jumps onto the ropes to celebrate with the crowd!

I think d might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to do it. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! green connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. freak walks into a straight right hand from green. green drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. freak escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. green gives him a little smile and shakes his head. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. green connects with a nice short shot to freak's temple. Big trouble for freak! freak is desperately trying to improve his position but green has a good base and remains in mount. mr green dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts green, as that shot connected.

and green counters with a two punch combo. freak takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
green tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. freak gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. green shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. green showed some decent athleticism there. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with green in particular looking to stall. freak regains full guard. Nicely done.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. freak walks into a left hand. freak throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and green makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. freak with a poor takedown and green counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps freak thinking. green decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. freak moves into full guard.
green chips away with some ground and pound. freak is looking for a triangle but green pushes his legs off easily.
