That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mathias Hughes.

Palacios cracks de Weert with an uppercut from hell and de Weert crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Palacios's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Sakuraba kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sakuraba Entrance. Gutierrez comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hoy Gano Yo kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Luis Gutierrez will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Barkley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Block gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Barkley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Block doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Block manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Block keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Barkley's head.

Benjamin Barkley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
