Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Levi Templeton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Sutherland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Templeton kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Mudvayne-Scream With Me. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sutherland tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Sutherland avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baas throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hends's waist but Hends gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Baas off to one side. Baas shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hends defends it nicely. The fight moves into the clinch position. Baas drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hends gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Hevi Hends has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Corey Baas. Hends pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. The fight stays on the outside here - Hends looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hends fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Hends lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Hends lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hends. Hevi Hends seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Danga de danga de dang - Hends scores with a four punch combination! Baas shoots and misses and Hends connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Baas looks gassed! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hends lands with a kick to the ribs.

Come on you two, sort yourselves out! There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hends is on top in guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Birds tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Liddell swivels and escapes. Liddell swinging wilding here.
Birds wants to clinch up but Liddell keeps it at a distance. Liddell blocks a jab. Liddell keeps the fight on the outside. Birds moves in looking to clinch but Liddell pushes him off. Birds throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Birds misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Liddell clinches. Liddell keeps control of Birds as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Liddell manages to break the clinch.

Liddell swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Birds is now in Liddell's guard. A big mistake from Liddell there, giving up the dominant position! Birds trying to control the position from guard on top but Liddell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Birds looking to pass the guard. Birds working some strikes from top position. Birds pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Liddell is keeping the position for now. Liddell on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Liddell tries to get out of the position. Birds controls from within his opponent's guard.

Birds's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Birds is breathing heavily. Birds working to try and regain half guard.
Liddell lands with some strikes. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Birds is in a horrible position here. Liddell smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Blackheart tries to move into range but Quinn moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Quinn lands a nice looking body shot.
