Galupad throws out a loose jab but Pate uses good head movement to avoid it.

Galupad lands a left and a right that send Pate crashing to the mat, dazed. Galupad thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Galupad gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pate to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Pate is looking to advance position but Galupad has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Galupad has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pate is proving hard to escape from.

Pate is nestled in close to Galupad, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Pate works his foot free and advances to mount.
Galupad is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Pate has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Galupad has left one of his arms exposed and Pate doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Galupad screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
