Monsoon moves forwards but Smith connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Monsoon fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Monsoon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Monsoon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but Monsoon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Monsoon tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Monsoon has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Smith is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Monsoon asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Smith is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Monsoon off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Monsoon has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Smith! Can he survive? No! He's out! Monsoon gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
