Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Gary Glitter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kalolo Tupa!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Glitter gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Glitter breaks the clinch.
Glitter circles away from the clinch attempt

and Glitter counters with a single leg into guard. Tupa didn't expect that.

Glitter has gone for a leg lock! Tupa slips out almost immediately though and dives into Glitter's guard.

Glitter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tupa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tupa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Glitter tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Tupa is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Glitter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Glitter manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tupa manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Glitter tries to free his leg and advance position but Tupa is retaining full guard.
Glitter wants to control from the top but Tupa keeps moving.
Glitter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tupa swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Glitter is breathing heavily.
Tupa with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Glitter can't handle though.

Tupa had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Glitter defends it easily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Glitter tries to clinch up but Tupa circles away and keeps his distance.

Glitter looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tupa can do anything to dispel that myth.

Glitter is looking to take a break and control but Tupa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Tupa is looking for a sweep. Glitter is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Glitter trying to control the action but Tupa is working from the bottom.
Tupa avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Glitter.
Glitter trying to pass the guard but Tupa defending well.
Tupa is trying to control but can't.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Tupa closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Tupa has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Glitter avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Glitter effectively controlling the action here.
Glitter lands a hook to the side of the head.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Tupa.
Tupa can't get the takedown.
Glitter throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Glitter is pressed up against the cage. Tupa has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Glitter down to the mat. Glitter avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Gary Glitter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kalolo Tupa.

Glitter feints and as Tupa raises his hands in defense, Glitter changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Glitter is working Tupa over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Tupa wants to sweep but no luck.
Glitter trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Tupa looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Glitter has picked Tupa up and slammed him! Tupa can't keep hold of the triangle and Glitter manages to pass to side control!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Glitter has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Tupa!

Glitter scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Tupa is looking for a way out.
Glitter cracks Tupa with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Tupa from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
A lull in the action here.
The referee is taking a good look at Tupa as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Glitter!
Tupa wants to escape the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Tupa takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Glitter is punishing Tupa with strikes - can he finish him?!
Glitter is hanging on to Tupa's back as he tries to escape.
Glitter is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Tupa up.
Glitter controlling the position well here. Tupa rolled but Glitter kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Glitter looking to break Tupa's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Tupa remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Glitter will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Tupa rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Tupa is trying to escape back to his feet but Glitter uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Glitter lands some shots froms side control.
Tupa manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Glitter wants to get back to full guard.

Glitter has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Tupa. Oh but Glitter has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Tupa goes limp - he's gone! Glitter jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Spackman avoids a punch combination nicely.
Spackman closes the distance and clinches up with Robinson, looking for a takedown. Spackman pushes Robinson against the cage but Robinson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Spackman fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Spackman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Robinson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Spackman fails to land the takedown.
Pistol Robinson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Albert Spackman.

Spackman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Robinson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Spackman looks a forlorn figure.
Robinson wants to control the pace but Spackman is squirming around nicely.
Spackman is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Robinson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Spackman looks a forlorn figure.

Pistol Robinson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Spackman rushes Robinson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Robinson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Robinson looks to score with a jab to the body but Spackman is just out of range.
Pistol Robinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Robinson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Spackman tries to avoid it but Robinson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Spackman to the ground. Spackman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Spackman displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Robinson.
Spackman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Robinson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The fight stays on the outside here - Robinson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Robinson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Spackman avoids a punch combination nicely.

Spackman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Robinson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Spackman off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

No luck for Robinson with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pistol Robinson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Spackman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Robinson sprawls well. Robinson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Spackman gets slowly back to his feet.

Robinson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Robinson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A nice combination there by Spackman.
Spackman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Robinson lands with a hook. Spackman tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Horrible takedown by Spackman or perhaps it was just good defense by Robinson which made him look bad.

Robinson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Spackman uses from the top position.

Robinson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Pistol Robinson will probably get the nod.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Point is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jones's half guard.
Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jones looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Point drops an elbow to the side of Jones's head.
Jones is trying to control but can't.
Point works his foot free and advances to mount.
Point lands a big shot there that rocks Jones but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
A nice elbow there by Point.
Jones really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Point tries to control but Jones wriggling away.
Point landing punches.
Point loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Jones scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Point land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Point stands and salutes the crowd.
