The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scarlett slips under a jab from Hammer. Hammer throws a hook but Scarlett avoids it easily. Scarlett misses with an uppercut. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Scarlett feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hammer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Scarlett defends it easily. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Scarlett loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hammer looking to hit a scissor sweep but Scarlett is one step ahead there. Hammer looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Scarlett slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Hammer takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Boyce fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but d is out of range. Boyce lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Boyce is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that d can do to turn this around? d tries to close the distance and clinch but Boyce swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. d tries to clinch up but Boyce circles away and keeps his distance. Nice cross by Boyce. Boyce attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. d slips under a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. d shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Boyce but Boyce pushes him off and we're back to square one. d slips under a jab from Boyce. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Boyce checks a leg kick. d tries to clinch but Boyce is having none of it. d takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
A looping hook to the body misses from d. Boyce does a little dance to reset his feet. The fight stays on the outside here - d looks like he's thinking about clinching though. d swings for the body but Boyce moves out of range.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunt uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Griswald. Hunt throws and low kick but Griswald moves out of range easily. Griswald pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Griswald misses with an uppercut. Hunt saw that one coming. Hunt misses with a body shot.
Johnny Griswald seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hunt rushes Griswald and presses him up against the cage. Griswald avoiding damage as Hunt throws knees to the body.
Griswald drags the fight down to the ground.

Hunt rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Griswald moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A decent looking cross lands there for Hunt.
It looks like Johnny Griswald has been cut. Griswald throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hunt. Hunt stuffs the takedown attempt from Griswald. Griswald gets slowly back to his feet. Jonny Hunt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Griswald. Crack!
