The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shaw takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. A cross from Pollock lands.
It looks like John Shaw has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shaw misses with a takedown attempt and Pollock counters with a left and a right that stings Shaw. Shaw looks gassed! Pollock lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Shaw - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Pollock!

7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Megan Fox! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Chad Campbell and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roth fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Fox on the side of the head. Eddie Roth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fox looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Roth throws a poor cross that misses
and Fox counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Roth rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fox moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Fox feints and as Roth raises his hands in defense, Fox changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Roth wants to control but Fox passes easily into half guard.
Fox trying to control from half guard but Roth is working away. Roth is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Fox trying to mount his opponent but Roth defends it. Roth keeping hold of Fox's head, controlling as best he can. Roth is trying to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roth is defending against the submission attempts here by Fox.
Roth is refusing to be controlled, as Fox sits in half guard. Fox is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Roth is just riding it out for now. Fox eventually gives up the hold. Roth is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Roth is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fox's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fox's back! Roth is trying to stick to Fox's back but Fox is turning into Roth. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Roth's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Fox. Roth bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fox's guard. Fox looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Roth passes into side control.
Roth is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Fox avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Roth. You can see the frustration on Fox's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Roth trying to control the position but Fox is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roth is really struggling to control Fox but he's trying to hold on to the position. Fox manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Roth misses with an elbow to the head. Roth has the hooks in. Fox is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Roth lands with a hammerfist to the side of Fox's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roth thows a huge punch but Fox dodges it nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Fox regains half guard. Fox has a hand on Roth's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Roth takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Fox is breathing heavily. Fox is wriggling around trying to escape.
Fox is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Fox is bucking up trying to escape but Roth cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Fox tries to lock up and control but Roth gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Roth with shots to the head and body - Fox looks very uncomfortable down there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Roth cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Fox takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Fox is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Roth is in the full mount, landing strikes. Fox tries to hold on but Roth pushes him away. Fox is trying desperately to improve position. Roth working Fox over with strikes here. Roth punishing his opponent with strikes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Roth looking to control but Fox is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Roth lands with some strikes. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Roth. Fox moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Roth has worked his arm free - good work by Roth!
Roth wants to control but Fox postures up. Fox takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fox thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Fox goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Roth has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Fox but great work by Roth. Roth working the ground and pound. Roth wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fox keeps working. Fox wants to control but Roth postures up. Fox is not content to let Roth control the position. Fox is letting Roth control him for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fox tries to get back to half guard but can't. Fox sneaks back into half guard. Roth moves nicely into side control. The strikes coming from Roth are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Fox isn't going anywhere. Fox is not content to let Roth control the position.

Fox is trying to control Roth's posture but Roth avoids it. Roth is putting a hurting on Fox here, landing some big shots from side control. Fox tries to improve position but can't. Roth trying to control the position but Fox is working away. Fox is being controlled here.

Roth is working away from the top position though. Roth wants to take a breather but Fox is having none of it. Roth is looking to pass Fox's guard but actually Fox recovers to full guard. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gambroni shoots in and bounces Mantis off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Gambroni trying to control but Mantis is working from the bottom. Gambroni is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Mantis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gambroni. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mantis is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Mantis seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Manny Gambroni has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Gambroni avoids a punch combination nicely.

Gambroni throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Mantis throws a head kick that misses. Mantis throws a chopping leg kick but Gambroni manages to avoid taking any serious damage. A big left from Gambroni misses. Gambroni tries for a takedown but Mantis circles away easily and Mantis counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Mantis throws a nice outside leg kick. Mantis feints and then cracks Gambroni's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gambroni down. Mantis throws a sloppy head kick and Gambroni counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Gambroni is breathing heavily. Mantis is looking to get back to is feet but Gambroni passes into side control.

Gambroni has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Mantis. Mantis fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gambroni has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Marvin Mantis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gambroni has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Mantis. Mantis cracks Gambroni with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Gambroni swings for the body but Mantis moves out of range.
Gambroni has his takedown stuffed and Mantis makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Manny Gambroni. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mantis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mantis wants it to stay on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Excellent takedown into side control there by Gambroni. Gambroni controlling the position from side mount. Mantis is trying to control Gambroni's posture but Gambroni avoids it. Mantis gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Mantis slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mantis is looking to stand up but Gambroni isn't so interested in that idea. Gambroni gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Manny Gambroni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mantis looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Gambroni shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mantis sprawls well. Mantis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gambroni gets slowly back to his feet. Gambroni misses with a hook to the body

Mantis leaves Gambroni with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Mantis thumps Gambroni with a low kick. Gambroni fails with a takedown attempt. Gambroni blocks a head kick by Mantis.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mantis scores with a kick to the midsection. A head kick misses from Mantis. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Marvin Mantis will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Mantis fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Mantis throws a leg kick but Gambroni moved away. Gambroni fails with the takedown and Mantis counters with a thumping low kick. Mantis lands a body shot.
Gambroni changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mantis tries to avoid it but Gambroni manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mantis to the ground. Mantis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Mantis scores with a jab to the head.
Mantis looks to land a combination. Gambroni sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Gambroni takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Gambroni is rocked! Mantis throws a pinpoint strike between Gambroni's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Gambroni crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Mantis scores a great knockout victory!

Peppers manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Maniac throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Maniac throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Peppers works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Maniac trying to control the position from guard on top but Peppers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Peppers working a defensive guard here.

Maniac throws a head kick that misses. Maniac sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Peppers connects with a leg kick. Maniac looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Peppers leaves Maniac with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Maniac shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Peppers as he jumps to the side. Julius Peppers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Maniac throws a lazy body kick and Peppers counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Maniac looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Peppers is fending him off so far but Maniac persists. Nope, Peppers circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Belgian Maniac. That's going to take a lot out of him. Maniac stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Peppers. Peppers thows a body shot but no joy.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Chad Kauffman. Well Kauffman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
