and Barnes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Hendricks shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hendricks was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Hendricks looking to ground and pound but Barnes is blocking nicely.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Hendricks sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Barnes is desperately trying to improve his position but Hendricks has a good base and remains in mount.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hendricks cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Hendricks postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Barnes looks a forlorn figure.
Hendricks fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Hendricks lands with some strikes.
Hendricks pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Hendricks lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The referee warns Barnes that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
