The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pistone shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Steggman as he jumps to the side. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pistone. Pistone is looking to score with low kicks. Steggman on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Pistone throws an off balance right hand
and Steggman counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Steggman not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Pistone avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Steggman. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steggman sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Pistone defending well though. Pistone is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Pistone regains full guard. Nicely done. Pistone looking for a sweep. Not yet Pistone, not yet.
