The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Wrath uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by White.
White doesn't succeed with the takedown and The Wrath counters with a good, hard body kick but White shrugs it off. White blocks a head kick by The Wrath.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aderis lands an overhand right. Turmoil fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Aderis manages to avoid it. An inside leg kick lands from Aderis. Turmoil lands a glancing blow to the side of Aderis's head. A punch combination from Turmoil misses. Turmoil misses with a wild combination.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Aderis.
Turmoil scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Turmoil shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Aderis napping and manages to drive through into side control! Turmoil moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. This has been an exciting period of action! Turmoil's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Aderis wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Aderis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Aderis tries to get out of the position. Turmoil has hold of Aderis's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Aderis tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Turmoil cranks the arm and Aderis screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Aderis, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McFly tries to clinch and Parise counters with a left to the body. McFly looks to clinch and Parise counters with a nice uppercut. McFly moves to clinch but Parise breaks away and Parise counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Parise throws a one two combo.
McFly tries to clinch and Parise connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Parise moves into range and clinches up with McFly. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Parise creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. McFly has had enough of the clinch but Parise keeps him there for the moment. McFly landing knees to the head.

Parise lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Parise lands with an uppercut that bounces McFly off the cage and back into rage.

McFly takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Parise connects with a superb combination that knocks McFly out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Parise before he can land any more shots to the unconscious McFly!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aldo has his takedown stuffed and Lankari counters with a shoot takedown. Aldo fights it but they end up in guard. Lankari prevents Aldo from getting back to his feet. Lankari trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Lankari passes easily into side control. Nice work. Lankari decides to stand up, so the ref orders Aldo to his feet. Aldo has his takedown stuffed and Lankari counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Aldo's guard now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Aldo wants to stand up but Lankari is controlling him. Aldo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Aldo wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Lankari manages to pass to side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lankari is taking a breather. Aldo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lankari lands a right hook to the body.

Cano sees it coming and avoids it easily. Cano looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Cano trying to control the action but Brophy is working from the bottom. Brophy tries to roll over but Cano keeps him under control. Cano tries to pass to full mount but Brophy defends it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cano not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cano in particular looking to stall.

and Holmes counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Cheng throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cheng bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Cheng throws and elbow that misses. Holmes uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cheng's guard. Nice move by Holmes! Holmes controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Cheng misses with an uppercut. Holmes saw that one coming. A kick lands to the mid section there for Cheng. Cheng scores with a nice body kick.
Rodney Holmes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.
