and Steel cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Abessera pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Abessera is looking to chop away at Steel's legs. Abessera with a poor takedown letting Steel counter with a right hand. Abessera is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Steel. Julien Abessera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Abessera misses with the combination.
Abessera misses with a left hand and Steel counters with a left to the body. Abessera shoots and misses and Steel counters with a series of strikes. Abessera will be more careful next time no doubt. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A right-left combo lands from Steel.

They are putting on a show! Abessera gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Steel throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Abessera misses with a right hand and Steel counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Abessera thinking. Steel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Abessera circles away quickly and effectively. Steel misses with the combination.
Steel fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Abessera looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and Abessera counters with a lovely straight right hand! Steel dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Steel throws a right and a left that both miss. Steel scores with a crisp jab that stopped Abessera in his tracks.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Steel wants it to stay on the feet. John Steel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Abessera doesn't succeed with the takedown and Steel counters with a stiff right hand. Abessera swings and misses with a shot to the body and Steel counters with a one-two to the body. Abessera is trying desperately to land a takedown but Steel is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Abessera. Steel digs a good body shot into Abessera's ribs. Steel throws a right and a left that both miss. Steel swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Steel connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Abessera's hands. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Steel tries to bum rush Abessera with a series of wild strikes but Abessera uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Steel misses with a series of wild punches.

Steel dips to his left and cracks Abessera with an uppercut! Abessera dives in and grabs Steel's left leg, looking for a takedown. Steel pushes down on Abessera's head and hops out. Steel lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Steel. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A combination from Steel does no damage. Steel throws a series of punches but Abessera avoids them all with ease. Abessera lands a nice looking body kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Steel dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Steel counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Abessera thinking. Steel scores with a three punch combo!
Steel defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Abessera. Some bone on bone action there as Steel checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Abessera throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Steel counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Abessera thinking. Steel throws a right and a left that both miss. Abessera swings widly with a right hand
and Steel cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Abessera takes one to the chin there. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Abessera might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Steel has got the better of the exchanges. Abessera tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Steel paws at him with a jab and circles away. Steel is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Abessera can do to turn this around? Abessera falls off balance throwing a combination
and Steel makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Abessera has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. That's going to take a lot out of Julien Abessera. Steel lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Steel throws a right and a left that Abessera avoids nicely. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Steel tries to bum rush Abessera with a series of wild strikes but Abessera uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Steel lands a nice hook to Abessera's body. Abessera takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. John Steel is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Steel changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! John Steel showed his dominance in that final round. Well Steel has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Head keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Head thows a leg kick but Sten checks it and Sten makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Sten wants to slow Head down by chopping away at his legs.

Head uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sten has time to react. Sten getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Sten sizes up Head with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Sten throws a sloppy head kick and Head moves out of range easily. Sten ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Head moves away. Sten takes a swing at Head's ribcage but misses. Sten pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. A shot in the inside from Head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sten misses with a punch to the body.

and Head counters with a nice uppercut. Head connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Head lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Head throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Head blocks a head kick by Sten.
Sten closes the distance looking to clinch and Sten takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Head engages and cracks Sten with a massive lead left hook - Sten tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Head is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Calloway throws an overhand right that lands on Guy's shoulder, as Guy tries to avoid the shot. A shot to the body from Calloway misses and Guy counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Calloway thinking. Calloway scoring well with a low kick there.
Guy throws the left hand but Calloway avoids the punch easily. Calloway throws a chopping leg kick but Guy manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Calloway throws a right hand that misses
and Guy counters with a lovely straight right hand! Calloway works over Guy's head and body with a nice combination. that Guy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Calloway throws a half hearted mid kick. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Guy!
Calloway fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Guy has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The fighters circle momentarily. Calloway darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Calloway works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Calloway buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Calloway lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Guy throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Calloway counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Calloway thows a left - swing and a miss! Calloway misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Guy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Calloway uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Guy. Calloway stuns Guy with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Guy is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Guy blocks a low kick nicely. Guy has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Calloway. Guy avoids a kick to the body.
Calloway lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Guy moves away from the strike by Calloway. Calloway thows a body shot but no joy.

and Calloway counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. That kick from Calloway tenderised Guy's leg. Guy is trying to keep his angry face on. Guy missing with a left hand there. Calloway was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Calloway lands with an uppercut that bounces Guy off the cage and back into rage. Guy misses with a wild combination.
Guy on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Calloway lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Calloway misses with a low kick.
Guy takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Guy moves out of range of the leg kick from Calloway. A jab from Calloway does it's job there.
And that's the end of the fight! Shawn Calloway comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Calloway has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

and Lakanik counters with a nice low kick that buckles Givens's knee momentarily. Lakanik throws a sloppy head kick and Givens moves out of range easily. Givens checks a low kick from Lakanik. An inside leg kick from Lakanik misses. Lakanik defending well as Givens loads up on a big left hand. Lakanik shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Givens but Givens pushes him off and we're back to square one. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lakanik throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Givens stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Givens has his takedown stuffed and Lakanik counters with a nice uppercut.

Givens is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lakanik is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Givens lands some shots froms side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lakanik tries to improve position but can't. Lakanik is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Givens working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Lakanik avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Lakanik is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Givens is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lakanik knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Givens stands up. Lakanik throws a leg kick that is checked and Givens counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Givens is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Lakanik. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Raylan Givens dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Givens shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lakanik as he avoids it easily. Givens uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lakanik.
Lakanik throws a head kick that misses. Givens stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lakanik. Givens misses with a body punch
and Lakanik counters with a straight right hand. Lakanik uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Givens. Givens lands with a thumping leg kick.

Givens avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Lakanik tries to stand but Givens is controlling from the bottom. Givens bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lakanik's guard. Givens cracks Lakanik with a solid left hand. Lakanik looking for a sweep. Not yet Lakanik, not yet. Lakanik wants to get back to his feet but Givens passes into half guard.

John Lakanik dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

John Lakanik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lakanik throws a lazy head kick and Givens connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. That kick from Lakanik tenderised Givens's leg. Givens is trying to keep his angry face on. Lakanik misses with a low kick as Givens jumps back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A shot to the body from Lakanik misses and Givens makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Lakanik really felt that one! Lakanik tries to land a leg kick but Givens saw it coming and moves away.
Givens gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Lakanik counters with a leg kick.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Givens accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Lakanik avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Lakanik controls Givens momentarily but Givens frees himself. Lakanik bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Givens's guard.

Lakanik is sitting in close to Givens's body. Givens has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Lakanik is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Lakanik is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Givens.

You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cross in particular looking to stall. Viren gets full guard. Viren wants to sweep here but Cross controlling him for the moment. Cross stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Viren swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Viren is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cross defends well. Cross looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Viren has his foot on Cross's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cross works his way back into a safe position though.

I think Grayson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Crazy Train by Ozzy Osborne. Mullen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Country Boy Can Survive. A low kick from Mullen misses and Grayson counters with a lovely shot to the body. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Mullen, right into the meat.
Mullen lands with a hook. Grayson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Mullen jabs at Grayson's body. Mullen cracks the inside of Grayson's front leg. Grayson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mullen.

And that's the end of the fight! Chris Mullen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mullen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Darius slaps away a takedown attempt from Roberts, before circling back to the center of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Braxton Darius will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Darius motions for Roberts to come forward. Darius throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Roberts shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Roberts bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Roberts pivots, looking for a leg kick but Darius is out of range and Roberts settles back down. Roberts lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Roberts gets the takedown into side control. Darius sneaks back into half guard. Darius is looking to control Roberts's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Darius avoid being mounted? Roberts wants to free his trapped foot but Darius is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Roberts stalling away here and it's allowed Darius to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Roberts stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Darius swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Roberts gets to his feet. Darius looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Darius cracks Roberts with a good jab. Darius thows a body shot but no joy. Darius misses with the combination.
Darius takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Braxton Darius is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Roberts shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Darius pinned against the cage. Darius gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A looping hook to the body misses from Darius. Roberts does a little dance to reset his feet.

Roberts manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Darius on his heels. He'll look to pass Darius's guard now, I'm sure. Darius keeping moving, preventing Roberts from controlling successfully. Jake Roberts has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Darius keeping full guard, as Roberts tries to pass. Roberts is looking to stand up but Darius won't let him. Roberts scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
And that's the end of the fight! Jake Roberts comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Darius has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
