0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jason Potnoir! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Potnoir has Jennings up against the cage in a clinch.
Jennings tries for a takedown but Potnoir manages to get underhooks.
Jennings gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Jennings seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Potnoir pulls Jennings in close to prevent any damage. Potnoir wants to stand but Jennings is controlling the position. Jennings trying to control but Potnoir is working from the bottom. Jennings looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Slug Jennings has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Potnoir cracks the inside of Jennings's front leg. Jennings is breathing heavily. Potnoir scores with a one two! Jennings had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Potnoir lands with a nice combination. Jennings backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Slug Jennings has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Potnoir fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jennings has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Jennings takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Potnoir has Jennings up against the cage in a clinch.
Potnoir pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Potnoir scores with a head kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Potnoir cracks Jennings with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Potnoir throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Jennings stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Potnoir follows into mount!
Jennings is rocked! Potnoir takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Oh Jennings is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! BOOM! Potnoir connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Jennings seems to have got his legs back now. Jennings tries to lock up and control but Potnoir gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Potnoir is standing up, even though he is in mount. Potnoir scores with a head kick. Jennings tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Potnoir gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Potnoir wants to get back to striking at distance but Jennings won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Potnoir wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jennings has him pressed against the cage. Potnoir with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Potnoir lands a nice knee to the body. Potnoir breaks the clinch.

Jennings pulls Potnoir in close to prevent any damage.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Potnoir can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Potnoir wants to stand but Jennings is controlling his posture from full guard. Jennings escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Potnoir gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Jennings keeping moving, preventing Potnoir from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jennings working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Potnoir. Potnoir really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jennings. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Potnoir advances to half guard. Potnoir is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Jennings!

Potnoir has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jennings's face.

"Ole!" shouts Potnoir as he jumps to the side. Potnoir drives through and clinches with Jennings against the cage.

Potnoir has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Potnoir connects with a knee to the head.

We're going to have a standup here because Slug Jennings wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Potnoir goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Potnoir lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Potnoir scores with a head kick. Jennings tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Jennings takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Potnoir closes the distance and clinches. Jennings has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Potnoir avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Potnoir breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Potnoir moves into the clinch successfully.
Slug Jennings has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jason Potnoir is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Potnoir wants to get back to striking at distance but Jennings won't allow it.

and McDonald counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Cash tries to bum rush McDonald with a series of wild strikes but McDonald uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Cash tries to land a body kick so McDonald counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. McDonald stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cash swivels though and keeps the full guard. McDonald won't allow Cash to sweep him here. Cash throws his legs up looking for a submission but McDonald uses it to pass to side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McDonald wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cash keeps working. McDonald blocks the strikes from Cash.
