The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mullen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wauler swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Wauler looks to score with a jab to the body but Mullen is just out of range.
Wauler should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Wauler gets a clinch.
Mullen tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Wauler prevents a takedown attempt there.

Mullen has hold of one of Wauler's legs. Wauler is fighting the takedown attempt but Mullen gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Wauler preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Mullen trying to control the position from guard on top but Wauler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mullen passes Wauler's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Wauler is looking for a sweep. Mullen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mullen has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Mullen lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Mullen is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Wauler can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Wauler takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Mullen has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Wauler's face.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Style lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Best has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Best and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Best misses with a straight right.

Best rushes Style and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Style is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Best is trying to push Style away but Style has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Style keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Best's efforts to push away.
Best throws an elbow but it misses.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Best wants to break free but Style has control.
Style trying to control the position but instead, Best has worked for underhooks and has pushed Style into the cage.

Best really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Best has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Style avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Style is looking to control Best's arms but Best gets an underhook and turns him. Now Style has his back to the cage.

Style trying to control the position but instead, Best has worked for underhooks and has pushed Style into the cage.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Tim Style.
Style connects with a leg kick. Best looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Style dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Best. That did some damage!
Style feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Best's calf.

Tellerman tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Urkle counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Urkle bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Tellerman's head.
Urkle rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tellerman moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Urkle misses with a few strikes there.
Tellerman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Urkle manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Tellerman moves in looking to clinch but Urkle pushes him off.

Urkle throws a series of punches but Tellerman avoids them all with ease.

Urkle drops Tellerman with a beautiful combination! Tellerman stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Urkle is looking for the KO!

Ryans throws a right and a left that both miss.
Left hook, right uppercut from Ryans.
Ryans connects with a nice looking jab.
Rua on the wrong end of a nice jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ryans gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rua to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Ryans can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rua controls the pace.
Rua stands and throws Ryans's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Ryans seems a little lost for a moment, as Rua dominates the positioning.

Demarcus Ryans is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rua throws a nice inside leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Rua moves into the clinch successfully.
Ryans working hard to break the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Rua pushes Ryans off and scrambles back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Rua shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ryans sprawls well. Ryans wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rua gets slowly back to his feet.

Rua closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Rua throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ryans tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rua is in Ryans's guard.

Ryans is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Rua dives into side control.
Ryans is breathing heavily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ryans is trying to get back to his feet.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Ryans is trying to escape the position but Rua is controlling the position.

Rua has hold of Ryans's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Ryans tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Rua cranks the arm and Ryans screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Ryans, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Chekhemani sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Simpson cracks Chekhemani with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Chekhemani misses with a looping left.
Simpson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Chekhemani is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Simpson lands a head kick. Chekhemani smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Chekhemani misses with a double jab.
Simpson lands with a nice body punch.
A head kick misses from Simpson.
Chekhemani takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Chekhemani shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Simpson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Chekhemani's hands.
Craig Simpson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Simpson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chekhemani takes one to the side of the head.
Simpson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Chekhemani gets the takedown into side control.

Jamison gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Jamison tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Kanerva is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Jamison buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Jamison!! Jamison is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Kanerva throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
